You will be working mostly with PHP (Laravel), but there will be many opportunities to work with other technologies. Our tech stack on the project is quite various:
Languages: PHP 7+ with Laravel, Python, Javascript (NodeJS + serverless on AWS)
Databases: MS SQL, ElasticSearch
Microservices: NodeJS and Python lambdas running on serverless
Cloud: We use a wide set of AWS services
APIs: external social APIs (Facebook, Twitch, YouTube etc.) as well as internal API integrations
Git: full git workflow: branching, merge requests, code reviews, we use both Gitlab and Github
Communication: Slack, JIRA, Confluence
CI/CD: Jenkins and GitlabCI

Responsibilities
Back-end development to meet Product business needs and implement components according to the modern software development environment (cloud-based platforms, microservice architecture, etc.)
Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution
Design and implement a set of various types of tests (integration, functional, etc)
Proactive position in architecture preparation, solution development, processes improvements
Working in an international distributed team in an Agile environment
Communicate with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA and other colleagues and stakeholders
Delivering the product roadmap and plannings
To use high coding standards, software best practices and write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC
Develop and implement new features
Mentoring developers at the project (optional)
Prepare and conduct tech talks (optional)


Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Software Development
Excellent knowledge in Computer Science, Computing Theory:
Paradigm & Principles (OOP, SOLID)
Database theory (RDBMS, NoSQL)
Code testing practices
Enterprise and Design Patterns
Deployment patterns
Understanding of network interactions:
protocols
conventions (e.g. REST, RPC)
authentication and authorization flows
standards and practices (e.g. oAuth, JWT)
Excellent knowledge and experience in PHP (more than 5 years)
Practical commercial experience with:
REST API development
Web application frameworks (Symfony, Laravel) (more than 4 years)
Testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Codeception) (more than 3 years)
ORM (Doctrine, Eloquent) (more than 3 years)
RDBMS (e.g MSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL) (more than 3 years)
NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, CouchDB)
Search Engines (ElasticSearch)
Key-value storages (e.g. Redis, Memcached)
Messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Active MQ, AWS SQS, Azure Service Bus, Google Pub/Sub)
