Uproad is a start-up company having the mission to deliver next-generation Mobile applications in the tolling domain for the US consumer market (B2C). Based on GPS location tracking, the app can provide cutting edge user experience to pay for tolls, receive toll alerts, calculate toll pricing for the given route, pay your bills, and much more.
Since launching in stores back in March 2020, more than 15k users have installed the mobile app. The company aims to be a Nationwide provider in the US for tolling service for millions of users.
As a UX copywriter you will drive the copy for any new flows and screens within our mobile apps and website. You are championing the copy for transactional messages, FAQs, and release notes and support on engagement and marketing campaigns throughout all channels including email, push, in-app and text. Apart from creating new content, you also ensure that the content stays up-to-date and that the voice of Uproad is consistent across all areas.
Responsibilities
Plan, write, edit and improve UX copy including onboarding flow, buttons, pop-ups, etc.
Write copies for transactional emails and release notes.
Work closely with Product, Design, Marketing & Growth teams.
Be ready for a lot of content editing and iterations.
Maintain best practices, copy guidelines and tone of voice.
Write and/or edit industry articles and blog posts.
Pro-actively research industry trends and best practices to support the UX design process.
Identify and fix inconsistencies after new releases.
Identify opportunities to improve the messaging in the app. Also, think through tasks strategically.
Use data to understand the influence of applied changes and make data-driven recommendations.
Application of design principles in writing: working with flows and wireframes.
Requirements
2+ years of experience working as a technical or UX copywriter.
Short and precise writing style that can explain complex features simply.
Proficient English.
Comfortable providing and receiving feedback.
Have the ability to see a bigger picture, desire to understand and dig into the essence.
Should not be afraid to take responsibility & make decisions.
Orientation to self-management.
Portfolio (please attach links).
Would be a plus
Native English speaker.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Zeplin, Lokalise, Braze, Stripo.
