Front-End (offline) $700-2000

Front End dev to help us improve the look and feel of WordPress site.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop content-focused front-end code with an emphasis on performance, clarity, and security.
- Work with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to enhance WordPress websites with complex integrations, APIs, animations, and functionality.
- Perform technical needs assessments (scope, functional specifications, wireframes).
- Adhere to project timelines and communicate with the project manager early and often.
- Research, suggest and implement development best practices.
- Assess new plugins, frameworks, applications, and platforms for an optimal development workflow.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.

You'll be working directly with our seasoned and experienced developer, so pleased be prepared to bring your "A" game.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with WordPress.
- You have significant experience with SPA frameworks, preferably React.
- Experience with Sass or another CSS pre/post-processors (e.g. Less, Stylus, PostCSS).
- Convert functional specs and static designs into code that’s responsive, cross-browser compatible, and maintainable.
- A deep understanding of the modern web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiar with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular)
- Familiarity with REST API, especially the WordPress REST API.
- A comprehension of accessibility standards.
- Experience with jQuery, AJAX, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- A high degree of comfort using CLIs, SSH, and Git.

NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with JS and PHP frameworks, Gutenberg, and LMS platforms.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG or Section 508)
- Experience with PHP and WordPress
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks.
