Java Developer (offline)

We are a software/hardware development company (www.sumix.com) and we are seeking for a qualified and talented Java Developer to work on the projects of our partner Promptlink Communications, a leading solutions provider for cable industry (http://www.promptlink.com). Successful candidate will perform the full range of product development activities from specifications, research and design through development, testing and documentation. This is full time position open in Kiev office.

==Requirements==
* Strong knowledge of object oriented programming and GoF design patterns
* Strong knowledge of Java Core, Collections and Multithreading
3+ years of experience with Java
* Ability to learn quickly, analyze and troubleshoot existing code
* Strong technical knowledge and analytical mindset, ability to develop software components independently, including design, high coding standards
* Open mindset, perfect communication and leadership skills, willing to lead a development team
* Intermediate English

==Desired==
* Knowledge of Java EE: Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, Web Services, XML, SOAP and REST
* Knowledge of frameworks: Spring, Hibernate
* Knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP Services, e.g.: DHCP, TFTP, SSH etc.
* Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX and GWT
* Knowledge of low level network programming (sockets)
* Experience with performance optimization of java application
* Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
* Build and Version Control: Git, Subversion, Gradle, Maven, Ant, Jenkins
* Languages: Groovy, Unix Shells.
* Operating Systems: Unix/Linux, MacOS
* XP Practices (TDD, Code review/coverage/refactoring)
* SCRUM/Agile Development methodology
* Higher education in IT or Computer Science

* Design and develop complex, high-loading and concurrent server side modules
* Requirements analysis, clarification, tasks decomposition and time estimation
* Migration of existing products to new technologies stack
* Development of Unit, Integration and Acceptance tests
* Code review
