Full-Stack Lead Developer (offline)

What will you be doing:
We are searching for a lead developer to work in the HR Self Services team, the MyKLM team, and the MyCareer team. These three teams work with a similar development stack. The work consists of developing front-end portals for employees where they can fulfill their HR needs, such as requesting specific types of leave or keeping up to date on KLM news.
During the realization of the projects, you will monitor the architecture and the chosen solution that you have determined with the architect and the team.
You will actively participate in the Scrum teams in order to support any choices that need to be made regarding the further development and progress of our projects.
In this Lead developer position, you will work with backend, full-stack, and frontend developers, business analysts, and designers.
You will work with Scrum and are responsible for delivering the perfect code together with the (partly overseas) team.
Although we do not expect you to be experienced in every programming language, you will have some years of experience as e.g. a Backend developer and are an experienced coach in guiding development teams.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and coach teams' day-to-day technical activities (including overseas activities);
Coach the developers, who are in different phases of experience, to create the best possible solutions. And safeguarding relevant knowledge for the HR portfolio within the group of developers to ensure continuity of development;
Work closely with the product owner/architects to understand their needs and design a solution that fits those needs and act as a sparring partner;
Perform code reviews for your peer developers;
Design, code, and test business software applications as part of a SCRUM team;
Program both new solutions and new functionality in existing solutions, based on business needs;
Develop Proof-of-Concept code and solutions to demonstrate the value of proposed solutions;
Maintain and troubleshoot applications by monitoring, identifying, and correcting software defects;
Take ownership of the quality of all assigned software targets and codes.
Requirenments:
You have at least two years of experience as a technical lead or in an equivalent position;
You are experienced in working in an agile scrum team;
You are experienced in working with a wide range of technology platforms, application and capability areas including frontend web applications, REST APIs, middleware, databases, and modern, scalable Cloud-native architectures;
Minimum 5 years of experience in Enterprise applications, middle-tier services, database, storage, distributed computing, virtualization, and/or application technology;
Extensive experience with CI/CD;
Experienced in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Angular;
Experience in or knowledge of SAP HR/Successfactors is a bonus;
You are quick to understand business challenges when explained and can communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders;
You have excellent English speaking and writing skills;
You are great at using common sense to solve problems.
