Middle/Senior Scala or Java to Scala Developer (offline)

Team size: 6 Developers, Technical Support Engineer (L2, L3), 5 QA Engineers, Part time C++ Engineer, Product Manager.
Interviewing:
1-st stage: interview with the recruiter (around 40 minutes);
2-nd stage: interview with team members (around 1 hour);
3-rd stage: interview with a client (around 1 hour);

Skills required:
• 3+ years of commercial experience with Scala or strong Java knowledge and desire to master Scala;
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms;
• Familiarity/experience with Akka, Jooq, Gradle;
• Knowledge of Java and/or JVM technologies;
• Hands-on experience working in Linux environments with command line tools for debugging, analysis and automation;
• Good written and spoken communications in English;
• Able to work independently to prioritize and deliver on key priorities.

Responsibilities include:
• Development and maintenance of our core application;
• Development and maintenance of our native embedded applications on different platforms;
• Work closely and effectively with peer developers on related backend development, client/server applications as well as Windows, Mac and Linux desktop applications;
• Participation in software design, development and code reviews;
• Maintain and develop knowledge of emerging tools, technologies and programming languages;
• Utilize test-driven development, refactoring and continuous integration to consistently enhance our application and processes;
• Work with product management and QA teams on specification, testing and automation requirements;
• Working across multiple technologies meaning there is huge opportunity to influence future technologies and direction, learn and grow as platform continues to innovate;
• Deliver well-crafted, consistent tested code.
