Senior Java Developer with Kafka Experience (offline)

About the vacancy

We are looking for a back-end engineer to join the team that develops new services using Java + Kafka + PostgreSQL for a new mobile application.

The application is a new social network with the ability to add friends, share media content, etc.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Must have
- 5+ years of Java development experience
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
- Experience with AWS S3
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience creating REST APIs
- Understanding of messaging architectures and practical experience using them
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, TDD)
- Spoken English

Would be a plus
- Knowledge of or experience with Confluent (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams)
- Experience with various data formats (Parquet, Avro)
- Experience with cloud solutions
- Experience using Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins) and Ansible scripts
