Ciklum is building a team to work on various projects which primary goal to improve and automate the customer’s business processes, reduce time and efforts, required for various operations.

Our client is a privately-owned statistical research and sports modeling company that provides data and related services to professional gamblers.

As sports betting continues to grow in popularity and the market becomes more competitive, we constantly refine and improve our software to ensure that we stay ahead. In order for our clients to beat the market, we need to make sure we provide high performant and scalable technology to drive their edge and increase betting volumes. We take a balanced approach between process and pragmatism to deliver success to our clients.

In this role, you will be part of a team that takes ownership of the low latent 3rd party integrations and escalated support integrations in our high transactional bet execution software. We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced environment proactively improving our mission critical platforms with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- Back-end development to meet customer’s business needs and implement components according to modern software development environment
- Develop and maintain high volume and low latent integrations with 3rd parties
- Proactively looking for improvements that will maintain reliability and improve performance
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and escalated support issues
- Taking part in the decision-making process in application code design, solution development, code review
- Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution
- Design and implement a set of various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc)
- Working in an international distributed team in an Agile environment
- Communicate with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA and other colleagues and stakeholders
- Delivering the product roadmap and plannings
- To use high coding standards, software best practices and write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC
- Provide on-call support as part of a 7 day a week rota

Requirements
- Experience in software development for more than 3 years
- Strong knowledge in Computer Science, Computing Theory:
- Paradigm & Principles (OOP, SOLID)
- Database theory (RDBMS)
- Code testing practices
- Algorithms
- Data structures
- Design Patterns
- Understanding of network interactions:
- Protocols
- Conventions (e.g. REST, RPC)
- Authentication and authorization flows
- Standards and practices (e.g. oAuth, JWT)
- Strong knowledge and experience in C# and .NET (more than 2 years)
- Practical commercial experience with:
- REST API development
- .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET (Core, MVC, WebAPI) (more than 2 years)
- Testing frameworks (g. NUnit, XUnit, MSTest) (more than 1 years)
- ORM (e.g. g. Entity Framework, Dapper) (more than 1 years)
- RDBMS (especially SQL Server) (more than 1 years)
- Web Servers (e.g. IIS)
- Version control systems (GIT)
- Docker
- Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Gitlab Pipeline, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo)
- Builders
- End-to-end SDLC experience, including maintenance, support, issue investigation, resolution and documentation
- SQL and database development experience
- Experience with:

- Upper-Intermediate English

Desirable
- Use of Web Debugging software such as Fiddler, or Browser based tools/addons
- An understanding of the web technology stack
- Experience working with high-throughput, low-latency multi-threaded, transactional systems, ideally from a betting, financial, e-commerce or online gaming background
- Knowledge of Visual Studio 2019
- SQL Server (T-SQL queries and basic administration)
- Enterprise messaging systems (for example RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with the betting industry
- Keen interest in sport
