Senior Developer (C#, .Net) (offline)

I’d like to present you with a Senior Data Migration Developer position in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Employment type: Remote

The role will require confident developers with at least 5 years of experience. Who can quickly onboard and add value to the Data Migration project and take on complex migration challenges of migrating data from multiple data sources. The role requires working from home on a daily basis and becoming part of the clients Development Team, reporting to the CTO and COO.

Required Skills & Experience
✔ Significant experience using current versions of C# and .net
✔ Demonstrable understanding of object-oriented design
✔ Knowledge of Entity Framework and Microsoft T-SQL
✔ Demonstrable understanding of test-driven design, especially unit testing in a .NET environment
✔ Performance analysis and solutions
✔ Familiarity with asynchronous programming

Desirable Skills & Experience
✔ Experience of NoSQL and Graph databases
✔ Experience in microservice or similar distributed architectures
✔ Knowledge of containerisation using Docker K8/Swarm
✔ Previous data migration experience
✔ Experience of Kafka or similar distributed log technologies
✔ Experience using JavaScript
✔ Development of REST based services
✔ Experience using Azure, especially using data factory, messaging and event technologies
✔ Solid understanding of current web technologies and trends
✔ Experience of writing automated tests for example in Postman
✔ Working within an Agile /Scrum Environment
✔ Familiarity with CI/CD tools
✔ Financial Services with pensions experience would be advantageous
✔ An interest in data science

Responsibilities
✔ Availability for meetings with project teams and co-workers as and when needed during the working day.
✔ Migration from multiple data sources
✔ Migration planning, analysis, design and delivery
✔ Migration execution
✔ Mentoring Junior developers when required.

✔ The client was founded 8 years ago and now has a team spread across the UK and Hungary. Our development and QA teams are all Hungary based, however, we are now looking to diversify our territories.
✔ We have a work from home policy, which means you will need to ensure you have the correct equipment at home to be able to communicate with your team.
✔ This is a full-time contract. There will be a three month initial trial period to ensure all parties are happy with the role and the fit. Following the initial 3 month period, there will be an assessment to decide if the role has been successful. If it has, the role will continue.
✔ You will be entitled to 2 days per month “YooDoo” time. This is time for you to take off (fully paid) to improve your mental or physical health. You can work on a pet project, take exercise, visit family etc.
✔ You will get 25 days paid Annual Leave per annum and sick pay as a benefit.
