Application Security Engineer (offline)

Responsibilities:
- Lead product security initiatives from identifying the need all the way to roll out and monitor phases.
- Interact directly with the security community regarding vulnerabilities and threats
- Provide security guidance on a constant stream of new products and technologies
- Analyze, assess, and partner with Security, Engineering, and Business functions to respond to various security threats
- Have an understanding of past, current, and emerging security exploit types.
- Have the ability to track and manage numerous parallel activities.
- Develop functional security testing scripts and procedures and identify opportunities to automate security testing and processes
- Train and educate developers and teams in secure coding techniques including the use of supporting toolsets
- Ability to explain complex security problems

Required skills:
- 5 (or more) years of demonstrated experience in secure product development, strategy, and market research
- Experience with programming languages (Java, Scala, Python, Node.js, etc. )
- Technical experience across various product security areas including web applications, mobile, infrastructure, cryptography, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and leads by influence
- Experience with agile security software development practices and methodologies
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

As a plus:
- Contributions to the security community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)
- Experience working in high scale SaaS provider
