Intermediate / Senior backend developer at London startup (offline)

Summary

innerworks is an assessment technology company. We are an early stage start-up based in Londo. We have an MVP, a growing user-base, a full time CEO & CTO and a part-time developer team of freelancers in Ukraine. We are currently raising investment to employ a full-time remote team. The first hire we want to make is backend engineer with basic frontend skills. The first tasks will be to help us manage the current stack and advise us on the next hires.

Product background

We have developed a new model to accurately measure personality. You can find our prototype on innerworks.me . It is an early stage free version for individual users.

Our product backlog

Includes functionality that business will pay to use: an internal feedback tool and a hiring tool.

The backlog functionality may not use same tech stack as MVP



Required experience

Fluent English

Intermediate experience (4+ years) in remote development teams

Agile development process

Jira (or equivalent)



Current tech stack requirement

Essential

B/E: java core, spring, good understanding of OOP , Jelastic, Postman, MongoCompass, LayerShift, Gitlab

DB: mongo dB - NoSQL database

F/E: HTML/CSS/JS

F/E: Some level of traditional front-end development Vue.js, Angular, React or Bootstrap


Desirable

Preferably Vue.js (current dev is in Vue)

More in-depth F/E development experience

Large data sets (commercial-grade apps)

App store app production (Android and iOS)

Working environment

Remote working in an international team. Very flat reporting structure, initially with one other local Developer and reporting directly to CTO and/or CEO.

Minimum hours per week: 40 hours

Flexible on time-management

May require extended meetings elsewhere in Ukraine I.e. 1-week offsite
