PHP (WordPress) Developer (offline)

Since we work with the big projects we need Fullstack (WordPress) Developer to be able to take a comprehensive approach to the development, considering the product as a whole, not as a separate development task.

Required skills

• 4+ years of commercial experience working with web technologies
• Upper-Intermediate level of English, good spoken and written
• Strong knowledge of GIT
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES5, ES6)
• Hands-on experience with preprocessors (SASS)
• Familiarity with automated builds including Webpack
• Strong knowledge of WordPress
• Strong knowledge of how to work with WordPress command line
• Understanding of TDD (also of BDD advantageous) for both frontend and backend
• Understanding of S.O.L.I.D essential. Experience is ideal
• Strong knowledge of PHP and its standards
• Knowledge of BEM methodology
• The ability to work with JIRA, or similar systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker/XAMPP/VPS

Responsibilities:
• Create custom WordPress plugins
• Focus on code quality, reusability, and testability
• Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
• Make recommendations towards setting a WordPress pipeline
• Reduce a backlog of fixes and issues built up by the client
• Set up a WordPress as best practice for the team of content editors and engineers
• Document workflow and how to use WordPress to give the client an ability to up-skill and coach the wider team (as and when necessary)
• Radiate good practices of WordPress development and mentor others
• Work on one or several products concurrently
• Work with an established team of developers and interact with product managers, marketing teams and designers
• Provide technical advice and assists in solving programming problems
• Be able to create a work breakdown structure and estimate work

Will be a plus:
•Hands-on experience with React
