What is our challenge?

Our unit is responsible for sports content delivery. Sports data domain is very reactive by nature, so we have to push a huge number of changes (several thousand per sec) to several thousand clients in near real-time manner. One part of our solution is a data streaming platform. In addition to data streaming, we are building a PUSH-based queryable API which allows retrieving data with SQL-like queries and subscribing to PUSH updates.

What is our ideal candidate?

You are Senior QA or QA Lead with both solid knowledge of test theory and practical experience. In combination with pro-active position it allows you to develop unit’s test strategy, improve QA processes and support appropriate initiatives. Also you have solid knowledge in automation, its best practices and approaches. You want and can develop and mentor people.

Distributed system architecture
Single-Page Application approach
MS-SQL & PostgreSQL DBs, advanced caching and data distribution
Elastic Search for big-data analysis
Advanced monitoring based on Kibana, StatsD etc.
Test automation and DevOps for smooth operations

Responsibilities:
Development of new product based on existing platform;
Function as a technical leader, guide team members and contribute to their development;
Lead, monitor and control the entire software development flow – requirements gathering, planning, architectural design, implementation, testing and deployment;
Take responsibility on code quality and on time completion of the tasks;
Apply quality standards and team working procedures;
Initiate improvements and determine development methodology;
Work closely with business owners and project managers to plan work and provide statuses;
Support existing and write new technical documentation
REQUIREMENTS
4+ years of development experience with applications based on ASP.NET, C# and JavaScript;
Solid experience leading a technical team;
Experience with MSSQL;
GIT;
Practice of writing testable code;
Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills;
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
Good understanding and practical experience of applying OOD / OOP;
Well organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize key projects;
Self-driven, motivated and passionate about development;
Detail-oriented and quality focused;
Good verbal and written English;
Good communication skills
Desirable:

Familiar with online gaming industry and retail systems
Experience with NoSQL (Mongo DB)
Knowledge of software development cycle, agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and XP practices;
Release & Configuration management, DevOps related experience;
