In the fast-paced world of modern technology, where every minute is valuable, it's crucial not just to move forward but to do so with confidence and adaptability. My journey in DevOps is a tale of applying advanced practices and technologies to achieve these goals through two unique projects.
Project 1: Deployment in AWS using Kubernetes
The first project was a comprehensive task of deploying a complex web application in the AWS cloud, leveraging the power of Kubernetes to manage a containerized infrastructure for both backend and frontend. Implementing production and testing environments was critically important for ensuring business continuity and product quality.
Key Achievements:
CI/CD in GitLab: Setting up continuous integration and delivery streamlined the development process, enabling fast and reliable deployment of changes.
Using Helm Charts: Deployment was simplified and standardized through Helm, significantly speeding up the rollout process and minimizing the margin for error.
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform: Automating the creation and management of infrastructure in AWS increased work efficiency and ensured reproducibility of environments.
HTTPS via Let's Encrypt: Implementing security through Let's Encrypt certificates for all web services increased user trust and enhanced data protection.
Autoscaling: Implementing autoscaling for nodes and pods ensured high availability and performance of the application under varying loads.
Project 2: Solutions in Google Kubernetes Engine
The second project was a challenge in deploying and scaling another critical web application, this time within the Google Cloud ecosystem using Google Kubernetes Engine. The goal was to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability with less time and resource expenditure.
Key Highlights:
CI/CD in GitHub Actions: Integration with GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD processes made testing and deployment procedures more flexible and accessible.
Standardized Deployment through Helm: Similar to the first project, using Helm facilitated and unified deployment processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Infrastructure as Code and Terraform: IaC principles were successfully applied to manage infrastructure in GCP, proving their effectiveness across different cloud environments.
HTTPS and Let's Encrypt: Security was also a focus here, with Let's Encrypt certificates used to protect traffic.
Autoscaling:
