Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the existing IT and technical infrastructure of the software development company
• Support project-specific deployments
• Facilitate further automation of company processes, enhance the technical infrastructure of the company

Requirements:

• 5+ years of system administration experience
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu/RedHat), Windows Server (2019/2016/2012), Windows (10/8/7) system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Practical experience with administering FreeIPA or similar identity system. Good understanding of SSO, OpenID, SAML authentication technologies,
• Knowledge of scripting/programming languages: UNIX shell, Python, PowerShell, SQL
• Understanding of corporate network security principles, methods and tools
• Good knowledge of ITIL/ITSM methodology principles
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization principles, log analysis methods and tools. Experience with ELK or similar stack, Prometheus or similar
• Documentation and knowledge base development
• Degree in computer sciences or other equivalent. Good English (written and verbal). Strong self-organization and self-management skills. Diligence and discipline at work

During the interview, technical knowledge is evaluated in the following areas:

• Networking: firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPN, traffic accounting and analysis, iptables, bind
• Identity management: FreeIPA/389 directory server, Active Directory, ADFS
• Web servers: Apache, nginx, IIS, web log analysis, reverse proxies, TLS certificates
• Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
• Virtualization solutions: VMware vSphere, Docker
• Update services: DEB/RPM package repositories, WSUS
• Troubleshooting of network/server issues

Desired skills:

• Development/support services: Git, GitLab, Jira
• FreeBSD system administration and troubleshooting, pf, jails
