Senior Node.JS Developer (offline)

WE ARE

Our client is one of world’s largest restaurant companies. Our client is building out a strong development team to help them deliver a brand new omnichannel nodejs microservice-based eCommerce Platform for 50,000+ restaurants all around the world. That’s a huge responsibility, which is why our client is on a mission to find the most fearless engineers to join their software team. Client's dynamic eCommerce Platform team is rapidly growing as they optimize their digital ordering channels and technology innovations to create competitive advantages for their restaurants around the globe. They are seeking a Senior Node Engineer to make a monumental impact on their stack. While this is a backend position, there is opportunity for full stack contribution. Client's team is based in Chicago and Plano, TX, they have ~50 engineers strong right now.



YOU ARE

Willing to work with backend and proficient in Node web servers (hapi, express, etc.) and Node testing libraries (mocha, chai), with the opportunities to contribute at full stack (React)
Strong in Microservice architecture and you have minimum 3 years building scalable interactive web applications
Looking for opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in DevOps technologies (docker, AWS, kong), Internationalization (i18n) and OAuth/sso/cognito
Having experience with consuming or creating REST web services
Experienced with unit testing and/or Test Driven Development (TDD)
Experienced with SQL or NoSQL
Having a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
A person with collaborative attitude, who understands Agile methodologies
Having experience with eCommerce is a big plus
Confident in your English level to communicate and collaborate with the client’s team on a daily basis (Intermediate+ English level)


YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

Develop Node.js based REST web services
Develop scalable interactive ecommerce applications
Maintain a relational or NoSQL database for services
Write comprehensive unit tests
Architect, design, optimize, and refactor code to maximize performance
Assist junior engineers in engineering best practices
Contribute to requirements and grooming of new functionality
