DevOps Engineer (offline)

The product is a 360 remote presence platform. Avatour transports (attend with a VR headset for a fully immersive experience, or with any modern web browser) remote people to real locations in real-time, where they can see the entire environment in 360° and interact with the people there — wherever they are in the world.

What you will do

~ Drive the design and implementation of a highly-available cloud-based infrastructure in AWS
~ Provide centralized monitoring, logging, reporting and alerting tooling for development teams (opensource, third party, cloud native)
~ Build and optimize our CI/CD systems
~ Participate in collaborative troubleshooting processes and find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner
~ Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice

What You’ll Need to Succeed

~ Experience in building, supporting, and architecting a highly-available cloud infrastructure
~ Experience in working with monitoring, logging and alerting tools (Prometheus&Grafana, CloudWatch, third-party tools)
~ Experience in provisioning and configuration tools (Terraform, Ansible, and Chef)
~ Experience in deploying and running microservices with AWS ECS or EKS
~ Fluent with AWS Services, especially EC2, RDS, Route53, and S3
~ Good understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL/TLS and DNS
~ Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket pipelines and Dockhub.
~ AWS Inspector for vulnerability assessments, file integrity monitoring and ec2 instances, WAF, and GuardDuty for ID
~ Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science and/or related work experience.

As a plus:
~ Good understanding of WebRTC concepts
