Product Designer for Brainly (offline)

About the client:
Product Teams at Brainly are working on some of the most complex technical challenges in the ed-tech space and creating the product for over 250 million students from all around the world. We focus on building the infrastructure and features that enable Brainly users to learn and collaborate, ask, and answer millions of questions every day. On a daily basis, you will work with a fully independent product team which includes: developers, Bi analysts, product designers, QA. You will take full responsibility for your product area from conception to completion creating valuable and engaging products. All of the features that we are releasing are under the A/B/n test, so you're gonna see how your work impacts students and the company in practice.

About the project:
The first new project which is being developed in the Structured Content area is Textbook solutions. In this project, the questions from the textbooks are digitalized, answered by the team of experts, and uploaded to the database via self-written CMS. In our web product and on mobile apps it creates a new type of a user journey - navigating students from a library of uploaded books to a particular book and exercises within this book. In the team you will be working on optimization of the whole journey, both in terms of the book upload - increasing the speed and the quality of content creation, and end-users experience - increasing the engagement and student satisfaction. As a team - you will be also responsible for the implementation of the new content type on Brainly - video answers, creating an efficient way of content upload and content presentation on web product and mobile apps.


Responsibilities:

As Product Designer at Brainly you will:
● Own design problems end to end, from initial concept through shipping and beyond
● work in the product team with substantial autonomy and strong impact on the product
● Be responsible for maximizing the value proposition of our product for users
● Be responsible for cross-device and cross-platform experience personalization
● Identify opportunities for new products
● Analyze how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences
● Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
● Research materials and techniques
● Produce prototypes and test functionality
● Improve the design of existing products
● Gather feedback from product users


Requirements:

● Experience
β—‹ Required:
β–  Experience Level: Mid or Senior.
β–  We expect the person to have at least 3-5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer.
β–  Broad understanding of a large internet business to include familiarity with UX design, product development processes / cycles for web & apps, A/B testing frameworks, etc
β–  A track record of shipping great design, and an understanding of what details matter at each stage of the release cycle.
β—‹ Preferred:
β–  Experience in working in B2C segment with the mobile-first approach
β–  Experience in collaborating with Scrum Team
β–  Academic degree in the field of design

● Skills and systems

β–  Expert knowledge in product design frameworks and methodologies
β–  Experience in Interface design tools (we use Sketch)
β–  Comprehensive knowledge of design patterns (and when to break them)
β–  Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for user research and A/B testing frameworks
β–  Strong visual design skills and passion for interaction design with a portfolio showing high quality, thoughtful UI and UX work.
β–  Knowledge about sales principles
β–  Experience in Interface design tools (we use Sketch)
β–  Fluency in English (in speaking and writing)

β–  Experience in conversion rate optimisation and designing interfaces for sales projects
