    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
    • Automate CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to improve delivery efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    Infrastructure as Code: Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

    Cloud Operations: Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS services including EKS, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, VPC, and IAM.

    Containerization & Orchestration: Build and operate Kubernetes clusters and Dockerized applications in production.

    CI/CD & GitOps: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows) and data orchestration (Airflow DAGs).

    Database Reliability: Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of Aurora PostgreSQL with strong security and backup practices.

    Monitoring & Incident Response: Design and operate observability systems (metrics, logs, traces, alerting, availability, etc) and lead structured incident response and postmortems.

    Security & Compliance: Apply DevSecOps principles to safeguard infrastructure, manage secrets, and adhere to compliance frameworks (SOC2).

    Skills

    Must have

    5-10 years of DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience in a cloud-native environment

    Strong experience with Terraform and GitOps workflows

    Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and Docker

    Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL operations and performance tuning

    Role Overview:
    The client seeks a senior DevOps engineer for cloud migration, starting part-time (4 hours/day) with potential for increased hours.

     

    Skills & Experience:
    ● 5+ years of DevOps experience
    ● Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (Windows environments) and Bash / shell scripting (Linux environments)
    ● Strong scripting skills in Python and usage in AWS Lambda
    ● Proven experience using CloudFormation as a primary deployment mechanism (templating, stack management, drift detection, etc.)
    ● Deep familiarity with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) β€” ability to define infrastructure in code, build constructs, and integrate with pipelines
