What You'll Do
• Design and build our core AI systems using Python and modern generative AI
frameworks
• Oversee all aspects of backend architecture: system design, scalability, entity model,
ORM, authentication, CI/CD
• Implement FastAPI componentry to expose data functionality to the React frontend
• Architect scalable, reliable infrastructure for processing legal documents and data
• Implement and optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to provide
accurate immigration guidance
• Develop sophisticated prompt engineering strategies to enhance our AI assistant's
capabilities
• Help expand our platform capabilities to include end-to-end automation of visa
applications and streamlined communication with USCIS
• Collaborate directly with the founding team to define product strategy and technical
roadmap
• Make critical technical decisions that will influence the company's trajectory for years to
come
• Build and eventually lead a growing engineering team
What We're Looking For
• Expert-level Python programming skills with 5+ years of experience
• Expert-level understanding of Postgres
• Knowledge and understanding of RAG systems, prompt engineering, and generative AI
technologies
• Experience building production systems with modern frameworks
• Ability to work independently while making smart technical trade-offs
• Knowledge of Vercel and AWS for deployments and cloud infrastructure
