We are looking for a skilled Python Engineer (Mid-Senior) to join our team building platform for building AI agents and serverless automation with fine-grained access control.
Important!
This role involves some travel to the Netherlands to collaborate closely with the client, run in-person consulting sessions at the WeAreBrain office in Amsterdam, and occasionally visit the client’s office. Candidates must have the flexibility and ability to travel within Europe.
About the Project:
It's a platform for building AI-powered applications. It brings together multi-provider LLM agents, serverless Python functions, persistent state, database querying, file storage, and template rendering — all behind a single API with role-based access control.
That platform allows customers to build:
- Internal copilots per department
- Process automation agents
- AI-powered internal tools
- AI features inside your own products
Our stack includes Python (FastAPI, LangChain), React portals, and cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions).

Tech Stack:
— Python 3.11+, FastAPI, Flask
— SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Alembic
— PaddleOCR, Tesseract, custom NLP models
— Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
— React + TypeScript + Vite (frontend)
Responsibilities:
— Develop, test, and maintain Python microservices and agentic AI workflows
— Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and business owner to deliver seamless solutions
— Write clean, readable, and well-documented code using type hints and Pydantic model
— Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
— Ensure system stability, security, and compliance (AVG/GDPR)
— Research and prototype new technologies (LLMs, OCR, cloud-native patterns)
— Support CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation
Qualifications:
— 5+ years of professional Python experience, ideally with microservices or AI/NLP project
— Experience with FastAPI, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure
— Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
— Understanding of REST APIs, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and security best practices— Experience with frontend integration
— Good communication and collaboration skills; fluent English (B2+)
— Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
— Experience with testing frameworks (Pytest, etc.)
