VisCo AS is searching for software engineers for an exciting role on our vCog development team. We are looking for a software developer to help us build and improve application functionality.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of ASP.NET CORE MVC pattern;
• Knowledge of SQL Server + Entity Framework or EF Core;
• Rest API;
• Knowledge of a stack of web technologies: HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript;
• Source control as Git, SVN;
• Tools like Visual Studio, MSSQL Management Studio.

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, Three.js;

• Azure, Entra ID, Neo4J.

   

Responsibility:

• Participate in functionality and interface design sessions;
• Write clean, scalable code;
• Research and resolve complex programming issues;
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions.

Basic requirements:

• Understanding SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Types of testing: Manual, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, Ad-hoc, UI, API, Performance.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies: Black Box, White Box, Gray Box.
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Writing Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Reports, Checklists.
• Bug tracking systems: Jira, Azure DevOps.
• API Testing: Postman, Swagger (basic GET/POST requests).
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Communication and teamwork.
• English B1+

Daily & General Functions within the Project:

• Review software specifications and design documents to identify gaps or inconsistencies.
• Collaborating with developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Creating test cases and test scripts.
• Executing test cases manually to verify software functionality and usability.
• Regression testing to ensure previous functionalities remain intact after updates.
• Identifying, documenting, and prioritizing defects in bug-tracking tools like Azure DevOps.
• Collaborating with developers to reproduce and diagnose defects.
• Monitoring defect status and verifying fixes during retesting.
• Working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure quality standards are met.
• Providing reports on testing.
• Documentation of test results and defects.

• Few years of industry experience developing commercial systems and applications; 
• Strong understanding of software development and testing practices; 
• C# programming skills; 
• Good understanding of object-oriented concepts; 
• Understanding of multithreading, algoritms and data structures. 

Since we are growing in several directions, we expect the candidate to possess knowledge in one of the following areas: 

• 2D/3D graphics;  
• CAD software;  
• Game Engines; 
• Working experience with RDBMS (SQL Server preferred) and data access technologies; 
• Web technologies: Experience with RESTful API development and integration. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics for effective integration; 
• Desktop UI:  WPF and MVVM architecture; 
• C++ experience. 

 Responsibility:
