Unmanned systems Defense Lab is an engineering team from Ukraine and Europe developing next-generation unmanned systems for all-level missions.

Our expertise includes autonomous drones all sizes, AI-powered navigation and targeting, EW resistance, and VTOL platforms. We work closely with military specialists, engineers, and analysts to ensure every system we build is not just advanced — but truly effective in real-combat environment.

We collaborate with European investors, operate manufacturing facilities in the EU, and build products that meet NATO standards and reflect the realities of modern warfare.

We are looking for a motivated Junior Flight Data Analyst to join our engineering team and support the analysis of flight data from our UAV platforms. In this role, you will work closely with flight test engineers to review telemetry logs, identify anomalies, and help translate raw data into actionable insights — contributing to the development of reliable and high-performance aerial systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and interpret flight logs and telemetry data from UAV test missions
    • Identify and flag anomalies or unexpected behavior in flight parameters (e.g., speed, altitude, battery status)
    • Support the engineering team by providing clear summaries, visualizations, and documentation of test results
    • Assist in organizing, storing, and structuring telemetry data for internal use
    • Collaborate with test engineers and operators to ensure data accuracy and consistency
    • Follow established testing protocols and contribute to improving data analysis workflows
    • Learn and gradually work with tools such as Mission Planner, QGroundControl, or log viewers
    • Maintain clear and organized records of test sessions and findings
    • Contribute to developing internal best practices for flight data handling and analysis

    Skills:

    • Educational Background: Degree (or final-year student) in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Flight Operations, or related aviation fields.
Also open to candidates with a background in Computer Science, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics & Math, who have a strong interest in aviation and UAVs.
    • Data Handling & Visualization: Comfort working with structured technical data.
Ability to interpret and visualize flight parameters such as altitude, speed, battery status. Familiarity with tools for plotting or reviewing data — spreadsheets, telemetry viewers, or simple scripts.
    • Analytical Skills: Attention to detail when reviewing time series and identifying anomalies. Understanding of basic flight parameters (altitude, speed, GPS, battery etc.) Basic statistics knowledge is a plus.
    • Documentation & Collaboration: Clear record keeping and documentation of test sessions. Ability to follow test protocols and coordinate with engineering teams. Curiosity to learn and improve internal tools and workflows.

We’re RnD from Ukraine and the EU building drones all sizes with autonomous AI-powered navigation and targeting, and VTOL platforms — ready for real combat and NATO-compliant.
