Universium
We are a team of 22 talented engineers and designers. Some of our team members have experience working at Google, Amazon, and Credit Suisse, to name a few.
Founded in 2016, we've been fortunate to partner with 50+ startups and enterprise clients to build internal products and flagship applications. The products we built are actively used at Pfizer, Uber, Cisco, IHG, and even several U.S. universities, such as Florida Atlantic University. Some of our work has also received U.S. NSF awards (SenseStream, TeamSparX).
How are we different from other employers, you might ask? π€ β Universium does not provide simple staffing or outsourcing services. We build long-lasting relationships and proactively design an exit strategy for our talent, resulting in long-term growth opportunities for our team either at Universium or directly at startups with whom we work -- whichever makes the most sense depending on the project goals.
The products we build have a huge impact and require the best talent out there. We need you to be exceptionally great at what you do, willing to demonstrate ownership of things you work on, and truly contributing to every conversation. We're not looking for folks who need to be micro-managed. We need rockstars who can take the lead and deliver the results beyond any expectations. That's our secret to growth, and that's what we need you to strive for.
So, do you have the confidence that you can deliver? Then, submit an application, and let's see how we can build the future faster.
Here are some F.A.Q.s that might be relevant for our technical candidates:
π Do you require the usage of any time trackers during work?
No. We are adamant about not using any trackers that take screenshots of your screen or track seconds of your work or idle time. Instead, you only need to manually log in your contributions in Jira (our primary task tracking software) to measure the accuracy of your task estimates.
π Will I have to attend any meetings?
Yes. You will need to be able to attend internal meetings with our team, external meetings with our clients (usually in the morning in EST or PST time zone), and attend ad-hoc meetings about your work assignments.
π Are there expected working hours?
Not really. We expect that you will be available for at least a few hours a day to connect and collaborate with your core team (at Universium, usually Kyiv time zone). However, we do not expect that you would be available during standard PST or EST working hours.
We hope to hear from you soon!
With love,
Universium Team
