Our client is a NYC-based startup in the food delivery service domain. The business aims to provide access to the world’s most delicious food anytime and anywhere, making world-class food accessible within NYC.
The project consists of different sub-projects tied by financial control functions within the organization so that you will work with the billing module, system integration tasks, and reports. Flexible working hours are from 11 am Kyiv time.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing functional Manual Testing.
- Integration Testing on how apps interact with other systems (ERP, OMS, Email, DocuSign, etc).
- Reviewing requirements (user stories, tasks) in Azure DevOps and logging bugs with detailed descriptions, repro steps, and screenshots.
- Performing Regression Testing to validate feature stability.
- Maintaining basic QA documentation such as test cases, reports, and checklists (e.g., in Excel, Azure DevOps).
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Participating in team meetings: stand-ups, plannings, refinements, demos.
- Communicating with team developers and business analysts on requirements and bugs.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year of experience in Web Application Testing:
- UI/UX testing: Check layout, responsiveness, and consistency across browsers/devices.
- Functional testing: Validate forms, buttons, navigation, and business logic.
- Usability testing: Ensure the app is easy to use and intuitive.
DevTools usage: Inspect elements, check console for errors, monitor network requests.
Familiarity with writing Checklists & Test Cases:
- Checklists: Quick validations (used in smoke/sanity testing).
- Test Cases: Detailed with steps, data, and expected results using Excel or Azure Test Plans.
Confident usage of Azure DevOps:
- Familiarity with Azure Boards for managing tasks and bugs.
Pipelines for CI/CD concepts (viewing builds/releases, navigating and collaborating on work items in the sprint/kanban board).
Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server:
- Filtering with WHERE, sorting with ORDER BY.
- SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE.
- Understanding how to: validate backend data after frontend actions; write simple queries to verify data integrity.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Pre-screening with Recruiter: (30 min) Job requirements discussion and English level check.
- Technical Interview: (60 min) Conducted by Senior QA Engineer and Hiring Manager, both in English and Ukrainian.
