TimberEye is shipping physical commodities into the 21st century. $1T worth of these goods move via maritime trade annually. We use technology to streamline the entire process--capital, sourcing, trucking, ocean logistics, and documentation. Our team consists of experts in software and experts in maritime logistics, and we combine that expertise to provide quality, transparency, and speed in global commodity shipping.

Role Description

• Partner with our logistics team to determine user requirements for features. Examples of features you might build include: 1) Tracking where containers are and updating their statuses accordingly. 2) Replacing manually-initiated paperwork between us and shipping lines with automatically-initiated API calls.
• Propose designs for how to implement features and refine those designs under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write code that is extensible, reliable, and tested.
• When issues arise in production, help debug them and identify solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years of full-time software engineering work.
• OR equivalent professional experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in backend application programming.

Tech Stack

• GraphQL

• Node
• SQL (Postgres using Drizzle ORM)

Prior experience with these tools is helpful but not required.
