Now, we’re looking for a Software Engineer to help modernize and further develop our custom-built eCommerce platform, ensuring further growth of our business and advancement of our technology.
What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop and optimize our custom-built eCommerce platform using PHP, Perl (prior Perl experience is not a must) and complementary technologies.
- Architect and implement new features, improve performance, and enhance security.
- Work with and integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and logistics automation.
- Improve database performance (PostgreSQL) and caching mechanisms.
- Maintain high coding standards and documentation to ensure scalability and maintainability.

What You Bring
- Strong experience with PHP or Perl (most of our codebase is on Perl, yet we’re open for candidates without prior Perl experience willing to learn Perl)
- Knowledge of modern web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX).
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web integrations.
- Proficiency in Linux-based development environments.
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms, payment processing, or logistics is a plus.
- Upper-intermediate level of English, confident and proactive communication.
