When people get together, wonderful things happen. The time we spend playing sport or sharing common interests is priceless. Away from the worries of work, school or the million other things that play on our minds, it leaves us fitter, happier, healthier.

We believe these precious social activities ought to be easier – much easier – to make happen. But, too often, it falls on one person to organize it. We all want it to happen, but we all want someone else to do it.

So one volunteer gets stuck managing diaries, scheduling events, checking attendees, organizing transport and managing money. It’s a huge burden that can easily take hours a week if it’s a group with regular events. And they probably don’t get much in return – no money – not even a thank you.

Volunteers are often overworked and underappreciated.

We’re here to change that.
