Equity-Based Compensation
 

Pre-salary period
Until you begin receiving your base salary in cash, you will be compensated in stock options. You will be granted stock options with a notional value equal to 2× your expected base salary, pro-rated for the period before your salary starts, subject to board approval and the terms of the Company’s equity incentive plan.
 

After the seed round
Once the Company closes its seed financing round, you will start receiving your agreed base salary in cash. Any additional agreed compensation above the base salary will be delivered in the form of stock options that vest over time in accordance with the Company’s standard vesting schedule.
 

Liquidity on vested equity
In connection with the seed round and any subsequent qualified financing rounds, and subject to applicable law, Company policy, and investor/board approval, you may be given the opportunity to sell a portion of your vested shares (secondary liquidity).

We are building Spala — a local-first visual backend builder that bridges the gap between No-Code simplicity and Full-Code flexibility. We aren't just building a CRUD app; we are building a visual IDE, a Compiler, and a Runtime Engine all in one.
 

We are looking for a Technical Co-Founder to own the core engineering architecture. You won't just be writing endpoints; you will be building the engine that generates and executes endpoints.

You will inherit and expand a sophisticated monorepo architecture (vite + express). Key technical components you will own:

The technical ceiling here is incredibly high—you will be solving problems usually reserved for browser vendors or language designers.
