About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Oracle DBA for our EU client to own the design, deployment, and optimization of Oracle database clusters on Microsoft Azure. In this role you will:

• Ensure high availability, scalability and security of all Oracle workloads
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, application development, and security teams
• Drive automation and best-practice processes across the database life-cycle

Responsibilities

• Provision and configure Oracle Database on Azure 
• Automate infrastructure deployment, patching, and backups using ARM templates, Terraform, and Azure CLI
• Monitor database health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning (SQL, PL/SQL), and root-cause analyses
• Design and validate high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures 
• Implement security best practices
• Maintain documentation
• Troubleshoot production incidents, lead database upgrades, and apply emergency fixes

Must-have Qualifications

• 3+ years as an Oracle DBA with hands-on experience o
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Database 12c/19c or later
• Proficiency with Azure IaaS services: Virtual Machines, Managed Disks, Networking
• Infrastructure-as-Code expertise: Terraform
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL optimization skills
• Experience with Linux administration (RHEL, Oracle Linux etc.) 
• Familiarity with Azure security controls: NSGs, Key Vault, RBAC

Preferred Skills

• Automation with Azure DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions
• Expertise in Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup for Oracle workloads
• Knowledge of containerized Oracle deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Scripting in Python for operational tasks
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and migration strategies
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• ARM templates

Role Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer for EU client with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across our Azure environments. Experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture: Define and implement security frameworks for Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and workloads
• Identity & Access Management: Configure and manage Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), and conditional access policies
• Network Security: Design and enforce network controls using NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Azure Virtual WAN
• Data Protection: Implement encryption at rest and in transit (Azure Key Vault, Azure Disk Encryption, TLS)
• Monitoring & Incident Response
• Compliance & Governance: Deploy and tune Azure Sentinel workspaces for SIEM and SOAR
• Automation & DevSecOps: Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Azure
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), equivalent or higher
• Proficiency with Azure security services: Azure AD, Key Vault, Sentinel, and Firewall
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for security automation
• Experience with network security design and implementation in Azure
• Solid understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for pipeline security integrations
• Familiarity with container security (AKS) and Kubernetes network policies
• Optional: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) security controls and migration strategies
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools and processes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements for stakeholders
