Project Description
At Dreamlines, we help travelers find their dream cruise on the high seas.
We collaborate with the world’s most reputable cruise lines to offer a huge selection of cruises, with new trips added daily.Our services are currently available in Germany, the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands.
You’ll be joining the team responsible for our customer-facing website, supporting key flows such as:
- Search and discovery
- Landing data
- Online booking
- User reviews
- Payments and more
From a backend perspective, the project is primarily built in Node.js, supported by a few microservices.
We use WordPress as a CMS.
Requirements
Must have
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and OOP
- Solid knowledge of ES6+ JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, NestJS, and Redis
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Good understanding of CI/CD practices
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives when needed
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Nice to have
- Experience with WordPress and/or PHP
- Familiarity with Cloudflare and AWS services (SQS, RDS, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, etc.)
- Experience with Elasticsearch
Responsibilities
- Debug and analyze data flow across different systems
- Write and maintain high-quality production code
- Take ownership of key backend components and services
- Implement new features and, when necessary, develop new microservices from scratch
