Playson

What this role actually is

This is a hands-on operational role. Your customers are our employees. The work is a mix of live support, access administration, endpoint and MDM management, onboarding and offboarding, equipment logistics, and documentation, plus improving those processes so the same problems stop coming back.

You will own requests end-to-end rather than passing them along, work directly with non-technical colleagues, and handle several things at once on a busy day. Routine service work is a permanent part of the job, not a temporary phase before something else.

Key Responsibilities

• Own employee IT requests end-to-end: prioritize by impact and urgency, keep people informed, resolve, document, and prevent recurrence.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access across Google Workspace, Atlassian, GitHub, and AWS, applying least privilege.
• Run IT onboarding and offboarding: accounts provisioned on day one, access revoked promptly on exit, devices recovered.
• Prepare, configure, and maintain macOS and Windows workstations through MDM: policies, software deployment, patching, encryption, and recovery.
• Own IT equipment procurement, delivery, returns, and inventory accuracy for employees across supported locations, including international shipping and vendor coordination.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and SaaS issues methodically: reproduce, isolate, verify.
• Maintain IT documentation, knowledge-base articles, and asset records so support does not depend on one person being online.
• Reduce repetitive work through practical scripting and automation, and improve support processes without weakening security controls.
• Enforce IT security and access policies; recognize and escalate suspicious activity and access gaps.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, Service Desk, or system administration, with personal ownership of the areas above (not adjacent exposure while other teams handled them).
• Practical experience supporting macOS in a production employee environment.
• Hands-on MDM administration (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, JumpCloud, Hexnode, or similar): enrollment, policies, software deployment, compliance.
• Administration of Google Workspace, plus at least two of: Atlassian, GitHub access management, or cloud IAM (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Demonstrated ownership of access lifecycle — joiners, movers, leavers — including approval flows and least-privilege practice.
• Experience with equipment provisioning, inventory, and remote/international delivery.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP) and endpoint security basics (encryption, EDR, MFA/SSO).
• Experience working in a ticketing system with SLAs, and maintaining written documentation.
• Ability to handle a high volume of concurrent requests, interruptions, and difficult support situations while communicating calmly and clearly.
• At least one concrete example of automating or redesigning a repetitive support process, where you can explain your own contribution and the measurable outcome.
• Ukrainian: fluent. English: B1 or higher — enough to support colleagues, write tickets, and maintain documentation in an international company.

Nice to Have

• Scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Apple Business Manager, Zero-Touch / automated device deployment.
• Experience with VPN, LDAP, or ZTNA solutions.
• Exposure to ISO 27001 / SOC 2 processes or security audits.
• Interest in security topics (access control, endpoint security, Zero Trust).
• iGaming industry experience.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+, Google Workspace, Microsoft, Apple, or similar).

What We Offer

• Competitive Salary
• Quarterly Bonuses
• Unlimited Paid Time Off
• Unlimited Paid Sick Leave
• Remote & Flexible Working
• Private Medical Insurance
• Financial Support for Life Events
• Professional Development Budget
• International Exposure
• Regular Company Events

Playson is looking for a People Business Partner with knowledge of the Ukrainian language who can operate close to the business, work directly with leaders on organisational challenges, and help maintain a high-performance environment without turning the company into a bureaucratic HR machine.

This role is not about running HR processes for the sake of process.

We are looking for someone who can:

• help leaders make strong people decisions;
• maintain high talent quality;
• Identify organisational risks early.
• and ensure leadership, hiring, and performance problems do not silently accumulate over time.

The PBP works primarily through leaders - not around them.

What you’ll bring

• Knowledge of the Ukrainian language is a must
• 5+ years of experience in HRBP, Head of People, HRD, organisational partnership, or similar leadership-facing roles.
• Strong experience working with leaders in fast-moving environments.
• Ability to challenge stakeholders directly, constructively, and without unnecessary politics.
• Strong judgment and ability to operate in ambiguous situations.
• High level of ownership, maturity, and communication clarity.
• Ability to connect people and topics with business reality and execution impact.
• Comfortable with difficult conversations, organisational tension, and imperfect environments.
• Ability to remain calm, structured, and pragmatic under pressure.
• Ability to build trust with strong personalities and leadership teams while still being able to challenge them when needed.
• Ability to simplify complexity instead of adding bureaucracy.
• Strong business and organisational awareness.

• Interest in scalable organisational practices, operational clarity, and AI-supported People infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Partner with leaders on hiring, team structure, organisational effectiveness, performance, ownership gaps, and delivery risks.
• Push discussions toward decisions and outcomes instead of endless alignment loops.
• Help leaders define what “strong” actually means for critical roles and challenge weak hiring compromises.
• Support leaders in addressing underperformance early and directly.
• Identify early organisational signals such as leadership gaps, burnout, unhealthy dependencies, misalignment, or execution risks.
• Help improve feedback quality, leadership practices, and decision consistency across teams.
• Support practical and scalable organisational approaches instead of overcomplicated HR frameworks.
• Contribute to improving internal documentation, operational clarity, and AI-supported People knowledge infrastructure over time.

This role is not:

• an employee support hotline;
• a process coordinator;
• a “culture activities” owner;
• a passive mediator avoiding uncomfortable conversations;
• or someone hiding behind frameworks instead of making judgment calls.

The goal of the role is not to centralise ownership inside the People function.

We expect PBPs to strengthen leadership capability, improve decision quality, and help leaders become more effective and self-sufficient over time.

We value:

• clarity over ambiguity;
• direct communication over corporate politeness;
• speed with accountability;
• impact over activity.

What we offer

• Hybrid work & flexible schedule
• Medical insurance (+1 coverage option)
• Professional development reimbursement
• Online English classes
• Employee referral bonus program

Recruitment process

• HR Interview
• Leadership Interview
• Final Interview

If you are comfortable working closely with leadership, solving organisational problems, and helping strong teams scale without unnecessary bureaucracy, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

We’re looking for someone who owns delivery — not tracks it, not reports it, owns it.

You’ll be responsible for a specific area: games, features, or platform work. From the first conversation about a requirement through to production — you’re on the hook for the whole thing.

This isn’t a coordination-only role. We need someone with previous hands-on software engineering, DevOps, release engineering, or similar technical experience who can actively improve and automate the way software is built, tested, and released.

You set the timeline, track it, and communicate changes before people start asking questions. If there’s a blocker, you’ve already seen it. If a release isn’t ready, you say so — clearly and early.

You’ll look at how work flows through your area and fix what’s broken. Not just follow whatever process exists. You’ll design something that actually works, iterate on it, and make it better over time.

A key part of the role will be identifying manual steps, bottlenecks, and failure points in development and release workflows, and then building practical automation to remove them. This may include improving CI/CD pipelines, automating release checks, connecting tools through APIs, and developing scripts or lightweight internal solutions.

Quality is yours too. Not QA’s problem alone, not the tech lead’s problem. You own release readiness: is it tested, is it documented, does anyone know the operational risk. If the answer is no, it doesn’t ship.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, QA, and client-facing teams, keep them aligned, and report directly to the VP of Delivery.

What we expect from you

First 30 days

• Understand how delivery actually works in your area — not how it should work, how it actually works
• Map where work gets stuck, what the recurring blockers are, and who the key people are
• Meet everyone who matters: product owners, tech leads, QA, release managers, client teams
• Write up what you found and share it with the VP of Delivery

First 60 days

• Take ownership of delivery tracking for your area
• Pick the biggest workflow problem you found and start fixing it
• Show you can catch a blocker before it causes a delay — at least twice

First 90 days

• Own and communicate a delivery forecast that stakeholders actually trust
• Ship at least one release with no last-minute surprises — quality gates passed, documentation done, everyone aligned
• Present your view on how delivery should work in your area going forward

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years in an engineering delivery, software delivery leadership, or similar role where you owned outcomes, not just process
• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Release Engineer, Build Engineer, Developer Productivity Engineer, or in a similarly technical role.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including builds, automated testing, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and rollback.
• You catch problems early. Not because you’re lucky, but because you know what signals to watch
• You’ve worked across engineering, product, and QA and you know how to keep them moving together
• Strong communicator — you can give a clear, honest delivery update to a VP without needing a slide deck
• You care about quality beyond closing tickets — release readiness, testing coverage, operational risk are things you think about naturally
• You’re genuinely interested in the product you’re delivering, not just the process around it
• You actively look for repetitive manual work and replace it with reliable, maintainable automation.

Nice to have

• Background in iGaming, gaming, or another regulated product environment
• Experience in a B2B or multi-operator delivery model
• Familiarity with incident management and post-mortems
• Experience working with external studios or third-party development partners
• OKR-based planning and how it connects to delivery cadence
• Jira or similar tooling — configuration, not just usage

What we offer

• Real ownership and direct impact — you’ll see the results of your decisions in production
• Direct collaboration with the VP of Delivery in a team that’s being built deliberately
• Space to design and improve delivery processes, not just execute someone else’s playbook
• A fast-moving product environment where delivery quality is taken seriously
• Competitive Salary: We offer a competitive salary, subject to annual performance reviews.
• Quarterly Bonuses: Benefit from a transparent and systematic quarterly bonus system.
• Unlimited Paid Vacation: Enjoy unlimited paid vacation leave, including Ukrainian bank holidays.
• Unlimited Paid Sick Leave: Take unlimited paid sick leave whenever necessary.
• Flexible Schedule: We offer a flexible work schedule to accommodate your needs.
• Remote Work: Choose to work remotely, providing greater flexibility and comfort.
• Medical Insurance: Receive comprehensive medical insurance for both you and a significant other.
• Financial Support for Life Events: We provide financial support during special life events.
• Professional Development: Get reimbursement for professional development courses and training.
• International Exposure: Attend industry expos, team gatherings, and global meet-ups

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a newly forming team that will own one of the most specialised and business-critical domains in our technology landscape — Game Engine.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, game mathematics, platform, and compliance. You’ll work on the tools, frameworks, and services that enable our mathematicians and game teams to build, validate, run, and monitor game logic in production.

This position is about deep ownership of a very specific technical domain: game engines, mathematical packages, simulation data, RTP monitoring, round details, and integrations with games developed both internally and by external studios.

You’ll be part of a small, experienced team with a high level of responsibility. The impact of this work is direct: incorrect game logic, missing round details, or inaccurate RTP monitoring can affect game delivery timelines, business performance, and regulatory readiness.

If you enjoy working close to complex domain logic, reviewing technical implementations, understanding how games work under the hood, and owning systems where precision matters — this role will feel like home.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and evolve Playson’s Game Engine domain
• Work on internal frameworks and libraries used by mathematicians to implement game logic and mathematical packages.
• Review and validate code written by mathematicians, ensuring quality, correctness, maintainability, and proper usage of internal frameworks.
• Contribute to the development and support of game engines used to run mathematical logic within our platform.
• Support integrations with external game studios by helping build wrappers and bridges between third-party game implementations and Playson’s platform.
• Work with data structures and protocols that connect game logic with frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to RTP monitoring processes, including validation of production transaction data against simulation data and expected mathematical behaviour.
• Support and evolve tools used for mathematical review, simulations, data files, monitoring, and alerting.
• Implement and maintain round details logic required for regulated markets, ensuring that detailed game round information can be correctly provided to partners and regulators.
• Collaborate closely with mathematicians, backend engineers, platform teams, compliance stakeholders, and product representatives.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure a high engineering standard across the Game Engine domain.
• Investigate issues related to game logic, mathematical validation, monitoring, and engine behaviour.
• Participate in minimal on-call responsibilities related to the systems owned by the team, mainly around monitoring, alerts, and domain-specific incidents.
• Take ownership of a highly specialised area where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience, ideally in backend, game engine, gaming, gambling, betting, or simulation-heavy environments.
• Strong background in C++ and experience working with legacy C++ systems.
• Good understanding of software architecture, code quality, testing, debugging, and maintainability.
• Experience with mathematical models, probability-based systems, simulations, random generators, or RTP-related logic.
• Experience reviewing complex code and providing clear technical feedback.
• Ability to understand domain-specific logic and work with technical systems where business rules, mathematics, and engineering are closely connected.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex, non-standard technical challenges.
• Experience working with production systems where reliability, accuracy, and correctness are critical.
• Understanding of backend systems, APIs, data flows, and service-to-service communication.
• Ability to collaborate closely with non-engineering technical experts, especially mathematicians or domain specialists.
• Strong ownership mindset and willingness to become a key expert in a narrow but highly important technical domain.
• Product-oriented thinking, with an understanding that games are the core product and engineering decisions directly affect delivery, quality, and compliance.
• English communication skills sufficient for working in an international environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in iGaming, gambling, betting, game development, or casino games.
• Experience working with game engines, mathematical engines, simulation tools, or game logic frameworks.
• Experience with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Understanding of regulated markets and compliance requirements in iGaming.
• Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical/columnar databases.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and production diagnostics.
• Experience with AI-assisted code review or automated validation tools.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Kafka, gRPC, Kubernetes, or AWS.
• Experience integrating third-party games, external studio products, or wrapper-based solutions.
• Ukrainian language skills would be a plus.

What We Offer

• Competitive Salary
• Quarterly Bonuses
• Unlimited Paid Time Off
• Unlimited Paid Sick Leave
• Remote & Flexible Working
• Private Medical Insurance
• Financial Support for Life Events
• Professional Development Budget
• International Exposure
• Regular Company Events
