At eduki, we strongly believe in the power of good teaching and we made it our mission to empower teachers to deliver the best school education. eduki is an online platform that allows them to create, share and find self-made, class-tested educational resources. Teachers can help each other save time by offering printable as well as digital materials for all types of schools, subjects, and grade levels.

eduki is used by more than 2 million teachers internationally. Started in 2016 as a German-speaking platform, it is now available also in Spanish, French, Greek, and Italian.

Your Impact

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (all genders) at eduki, you play a key role in outlining and achieving crucial SLAs for our customers and various in-house teams. Here are your key tasks and responsibilities to achieve this goal:

• Monitoring and Alerting: You lead efforts to enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities, aligning them with the needs of our back-end, DevOps, DBA, and Security teams.
• SLA/SLO/SLI Management: You formalize SLAs, negotiate SLOs, and track SLIs, collaborating closely with the Tech team to meet performance goals.
• Incident Management: You shape tech support commitments and processes, facilitate troubleshooting, manage communication during outages, and drive post-mortems and investigations.
• Resilience and Safety Nets: You develop a cohesive approach to backups management, chaos testing, and monitoring the integrity of data and infrastructure.

Your Skills and Expertise

We are searching for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (all genders) to help us achieve our mission to enhance education. Furthermore, you should check the following boxes: 

• You are an experienced SRE, with a deep focus on site reliability.
• You have strong expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, and have recently contributed to building infrastructure centered around Kubernetes.
• You possess advanced knowledge of Linux, with a solid understanding of its internals and hands-on experience managing distributed multi-node Linux environments.
• You are proficient in using key tools for telemetry, tracing, alerting, and monitoring.

Please note: Due to legal restrictions, we can only hire candidates living in and owning a valid work permit for Ukraine.

As a PHP Microservices Engineer (all genders) at eduki, you provide additional power to our development team and help us to reach our goal of empowering teachers to deliver the best school education. Here are the key tasks and responsibilities that you will be taking on in this particular role:

• Microservices Development: You develop Microservices using PHP to fulfill specific functionalities.
• Integration and Configuration: You configure and seamlessly integrate Microservices into our existing infrastructure. 
• Architecture: You engage in discussions and decision-making processes for significant architectural matters.

Your Skills and Expertise

We are searching for an experienced PHP Microservices Engineer (all genders) who would like to create something big together in an internationally operating team. Furthermore, you should check the following boxes: 

• You are experienced in developing Microservices.
• You are proficient in using PHP 8+, Docker, SQL and Kubernetes.
• You demonstrate high reliability and can work independently.
• You feel comfortable communicating in English and working in an international team.

Our Commitment to You

Attractive Compensation: We are committed to providing a salary that reflects both market standards and individual qualifications. For this position, the gross monthly rate is centered around 2,400 USD.
