The project

Our client is a fast-growing fintech software company operating a proprietary trading

platform. The platform provides:

Trading evaluations for aspiring traders;

Funded accounts to back retail traders;

Advanced analytics and execution tools for real-time trading.

The system is already in production, now the team is adding major new features and squashing bugs to deliver the next generation of trading capabilities.

What you’ll do

Design & implement new backend features using Spring Boot 2.x;

Develop & maintain Angular 13+ front-end modules;

Build real-time functionality with WebSockets and message brokers;

Troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and quick resolutions;

Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries and indices for performance and scalability;

Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions;

Write clean, testable, documented code, and participate in code reviews.

Must-have qualifications

3+ years professional experience with Java (Spring Boot 2.x);

3+ years with Angular 13+ (or comparable modern Angular versions);

Deep proficiency in PostgreSQL at production scale;

Proven experience building real-time systems (WebSockets, event streams, etc.);

Track record of maintaining high availability and responsiveness under pressure;

Able to own features from design through deployment.

Nice to have

Prior work on proprietary trading platforms or at prop trading firms;

Integration experience with broker APIs (e.g. cTrader, MetaTrader, DXTrade);

Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud deployments.

Job Description

Snips mission is to reinvent how people watch series, creating a "Netflix meets TikTok" experience. We use AI to transform existing shows into short, addictive, mobile-first micro-episodes and present them on our mobile platform.

Snips founders are serial two entrepreneurs. One has founded a mobile game company, whose games are played by tens of millions. The other one founded and sold an AI company to Unity that worked with top global tech and fashion brands.

We raised a series funding round and have contracts with some of the biggest names in the worldwide media industry.

We're on the hunt for a super motivated and experienced Backend Engineer who loves solving problems methodically. A versatile Backend Engineer who can own the whole backend stack. Someone who excels at creating backends for millions of users and is equally adept at building and scaling AI/ML backend pipelines. You should be a great

communicator, take ownership of your work, and have a real drive to get things done. If you're passionate about software engineering and system architecture, and understand the ins and outs of building complex backend systems simply and efficiently, you'll fit right in. We value folks who write resilient code and build reliable infrastructure, but who also get the business side of things and can deliver on tight schedules in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize continuous learning, teamwork, and feedback from our engineers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Teaming up with the founding crew to help shape our product direction.
• Designing and building highly available backend microservices and APIs.
• Designing and building scalable video and data pipelines.
• Designing and building automations for infrastructure, deployments, and monitoring.
• Brainstorming ideas for features, improving system architecture, and troubleshooting.
• Keeping our quality standards high, making sure code is readable, testable, modular,
• and maintainable.
• Taking features from initial ideas all the way to launch, and working closely with
• Product to make those concepts a reality.
• Operating with tons of autonomy, freedom, and influence in designing solutions and making technical decisions – this is a critical role for our company's growth!

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
• 3+ years experience building node.js backend systems
• A deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
• Experience building scalable backend systems and microservices
• Experience with production systems serving millions of users per day
• Experience building production services from start to finish, including architecture
• design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases and their tradeoffs.
• Experience with message queue systems (SQS, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, Kafka…).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly independent, accountable, and a team player, able to own tasks from planning to production.
• A "can-do" attitude and a strong sense of ownership.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience building data and ML pipeline systems
• Experience with Javascript and React.
• Experience with python
• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with LLM, prompt engineering, agents, and RAG.
