We’re a small, remote-first startup building an AI-first ATS and recruiting product for SMBs. We move fast, value ownership and practical thinking, and need someone who can own frontend delivery for both marketing and product surfaces - from Elementor landing pages to in‑product templates and integrations. The role (short)
Part-time Frontend Developer (WordPress + Elementor preferred) responsible for marketing landing pages, career and job-ad templates, pages inside our ATS, and supporting integrations. You’ll collaborate with founders, designers and backend engineers to deliver responsive, performant, and maintainable UI. Opportunity to move to full-time as we grow. What you’ll do
- Build and maintain marketing landing pages and templates (Elementor + WordPress preferred; open to alternative page builders or static-site approaches when appropriate).
- Create reusable career page templates and job-ad templates that can be used across client sites and within our ATS.
- Implement UI inside the ATS (HTML/CSS/JS + Bootstrap), ensuring consistency with marketing pages and component library.
- Convert Figma designs into Elementor templates or code components; maintain a living style/component guide.
- Implement forms, dynamic content and client-side logic (vanilla JS/ES6); handle form validation, AJAX submissions and client-side integrations.
- Support integrations: connect forms and pages to our ATS backend and third-party services (REST APIs, webhooks, Zapier/Make), troubleshoot issues and help scope integration work.
- Do light backend work as needed (WP templating, small PHP tweaks, API endpoints, or collaborating on Node/Python backend tasks).
- Optimize for performance (Lighthouse, image optimization, critical CSS), SEO basics, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Maintain code in Git, write clear PRs and documentation, and participate in QA and release workflows.
Must-have skills
- Strong WordPress experience: theme/template customization and WP admin workflows.
- Solid Elementor experience (templates, theme builder, dynamic content); comfortable using Elementor Pro.
- Strong HTML5, CSS3 (responsive design), and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+).
- Comfortable with Bootstrap and component-based front-end work.
- Experience building marketing landing pages and templates for career/job listings or similar content.
- Experience integrating front-end forms/pages with REST APIs, webhooks, or third-party services.
- Familiar with Git and basic development workflows.
- Portfolio with 2–3 live examples of WordPress/Elementor/landing pages or ATS/career pages. Please include notes on your role/contributions.
Nice-to-have
- Basic PHP for WordPress templating and small backend tasks.
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and dynamic content sources in WordPress.
- Familiarity with headless WordPress, or building static landing pages (Next.js/Eleventy/etc.) as an alternative to Elementor.
- Experience with Zapier, Make (Integromat), or custom webhook integrations.
- Experience with analytics (GA4), GTM, SEO optimization and accessibility (WCAG).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), or common WordPress hosts (Kinsta, WP Engine).
Logistics
- Part-time (flexible; typical initial commitment 10–20 hrs/week). Option to transition to full-time.
- Remote-first; possibility of relocation to Cyprus later.
- Start: flexible / by agreement.
- Contract: part-time contractor or employee (to be discussed).
- Compensation: competitive and commensurate with experience.
Application process
- Send CV + portfolio (links to live WordPress/Elementor/landing page projects required). For each project, state your role and key technical details (Elementor vs code, integrations done, hosting).
- Short screening: Do you prefer Elementor or alternative stacks for landing pages? Which integrations have you implemented? Are you comfortable doing small backend tasks (PHP/Node)?
- Selected candidates will receive a paid take‑home or short paid live task.
- Typical process: CV review → interviews → paid task → final interview → offer.
Why join us
- High ownership: you’ll shape both marketing and product-facing frontend experiences.
- Work directly with founders and engineers and see your changes live quickly.
- Flexible, startup environment with autonomy and growth potential.
- Opportunity to grow into a full-stack role and influence our integration architecture.
