We are seeking an experienced Senior Clothing Designer to lead our design team in creating compelling clothing lines that align with our brand vision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fashion design leadership, with at least 5 years in an active role such as Head of Fashion, Fashion Editor, or equivalent. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end design process, from concept ideation to production, while mentoring junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are innovative, marketable, and on-trend.Key Responsibilities
Lead the conceptualization and development of seasonal clothing collections, including sketches, mood boards, fabric selection, and prototyping.
Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design decisions, ensuring collections meet consumer demands and brand standards.
Collaborate with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to align designs with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
Oversee fit sessions, sample reviews, and quality control to refine designs for optimal wearability and manufacturability.
Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a creative and collaborative team environment.
Present design concepts to stakeholders, including executives and external partners, with clear rationale and visual aids.
Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainable practices, and emerging technologies in fashion design.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an active leadership role in fashion, such as Head of Fashion, Fashion Editor, Creative Director, or similar.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in clothing design, including women's/men's/unisex apparel, with a focus on innovative and commercially successful collections.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CLO 3D, or equivalent.
Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrics, patterns, and production processes.
Excellent knowledge of fashion trends, color theory, and sustainable design practices.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects from ideation to launch.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design visions effectively.
Willingness to travel for trade shows, supplier meetings, and inspiration sourcing as needed.Preferred Skills
Experience in sustainable or ethical fashion practices.
Familiarity with digital design tools and 3D modeling for virtual prototyping.
Background in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer fashion brands.
