Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on AWS
• Develop and optimize distributed data processing jobs using Spark/PySpark
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance in high-load environments
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data workflows
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and propose architectural improvements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• 2+ years of experience with Spark/PySpark 
• Experience working in high-load environments
• Autonomous and proactive mindset - ability to own tasks and drive them independently

- Design and build REST APIs using FastAPI

They are looking for a strong Senior Java Developer to help build and scale a cloud-native platform powering modern API ecosystems.

About the Position:

We are hiring a Senior Java Developer to contribute to the design and development of a high-load, distributed platform focused on API orchestration and integration.

You’ll work on microservices, cloud infrastructure, and platform components, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Working Hours:

Aligned with Ireland timezone (GMT/IST)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java
• Build and enhance microservices and platform components (API gateways, data layers)
• Contribute to architecture decisions and system design
• Work within Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Ensure code quality, testing, and best engineering practices
• Collaborate with QA/SDETs on test automation and coverage
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Monitor system performance using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance and scalability
• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend/platform engineering

• Hands-on experience with:

About the Project:

Glasses+ is a Ruby on Rails application for creating and publishing customized eyewear models. Users can build product variations based on a set of components (frames, temples, lenses, colors, etc.) and publish them to a WordPress-based online store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing functionality, fix bugs
• Monitor the correct product publishing flow between the app and WordPress
• Develop new features according to client requirements

• Potentially participate in building Glasses Shop — a separate Ruby on Rails app for selling eyewear (as an alternative to WordPress)

   

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial experience with Ruby / Ruby on Rails
• Experience working in a project cooperation model
• Basic understanding of Redis and its methods
• Experience with Sidekiq or understanding of how background jobs work
• Ability to work independently and deliver results

• English proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation

   

Nice to have

• Basic familiarity with WooCommerce API (or willingness to explore the documentation as needed)
