Dash Financial Technologies

DASH Financial Technologies is looking for a Senior or a middle-level tester to perform functional testing of our ultra-low latency applications.

Responsibilities:

• Manual testing of multiple backend applications (in Linux servers) which are used for routing orders from clients to US options and equity exchanges
  • Routing applications are pure backend, written in C++, no GUI
  • They are running on Linux platform
  • Low latency and high throughput are major factors
• Creating test plans, test cases, test reports
• Creating tickets/issues in JIRA
• Creating supporting documentation for testing in Confluence

Required skills:

• 4+ years of experience in QA, where 1+ year is as a server-side (Linux servers ) testing
• Profound knowledge in *nix platforms on an experienced user level (run applications, copy files, grep huge logs, cat, sed, vim/nano editors, bash scripting, etc.)
• Experience with SQL databases, e.g.: Oracle and/or Postgres
• Familiar with XML, messaging protocols, etc.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP stack, networking, etc.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle
• Practical experience in implementing various test design techniques and testing methodologies
• Ability to combine good communication and technical skills
• Intermediate+ level of English
• Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math or other related disciplines is a plus

• Knowledge of FIX protocol
• Experience/knowledge in Capital Markets domain (especially US equities and options)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, bash) to be able to participate in automatic testing
• Аbility to investigate and catch on work with the current Python-based framework as an automation testing solution for FIX protocol

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst, ideally with experience in Capital Markets domain, as a ramp-up of our BA capacity on a modern order management system project.

Responsibilities
o Play the role of Business/System Analyst
o Work closely with the client to ensure requirements are captured, the scope is controlled, and expectations are met
o Work closely with the development team to do the entire system design
o Participate and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, UX design sessions, solution planning & review meeting, etc.
o Specification of new functionality across the frontend and backend components
o Ongoing improvement of knowledge through better documentation and knowledge management infrastructure
o Play a proactive role in proposing new processes, tools & approaches
o Assist in project planning, quality control, and user acceptance testing
o Help investigate complex functional software issues, assist in root cause analysis, and establish a solution
o Identify and manage risks and flag major issues early
