L1 Support Engineer

Role Overview 

We are looking for an L1 Support Engineer to join our team and provide first-line technical support for our trading and order routing applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment. 

We have 3 shifts, and coverage will be required for all 3 if needed.

Responsibilities 

• Monitor production systems and trading applications 
• Investigate and triage incidents and alerts 
• Perform initial troubleshooting and log analysis (Linux environment) 
• Escalate issues to L2/L3 or engineering teams when necessary 
• Communicate status updates to internal stakeholders 
• Document incidents, solutions, and procedures 
• Support deployment and configuration activities when required 

we have 3 shifts, and coverage will be required for all 3 if needed.

Required Skills 

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux/Unix 
  (grep, tail, logs analysis, file operations, basic commands) 
• Basic understanding of SQL (running queries, checking data/logs) 
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP basics) 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work in a shift-based environment (if applicable) 
• Good communication skills 
• Intermediate level of English 
• we have 3 shifts, and coverage will be required for all 3 if needed.

Nice to Have 

• Experience in fintech / trading systems 
• Familiarity with FIX protocol 
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, etc.) 
• Basic scripting knowledge (bash, Python)
