About Avium
Avium is a small, fast-moving agency building visibility systems for personal brands: keynote speakers, authors, executives, and founders. We help established experts get discovered where their buyers are searching and listening: Google, ChatGPT, LinkedIn, YouTube, and podcasts.
The agency was founded by Benas Leonavicius after 10 years in SEO and 5 years working exclusively with high-profile speakers and authors. Today the team is the founder plus a Head of Growth, an SEO Lead, and a video editor. Podcast guesting is the next channel we're turning into a service, and this is the role that owns it.
About the role
Podcasts are one of the best ways our clients build authority and get in front of the right buyers. Right now booking happens ad hoc. Your job is to make it a machine.
You'll own podcast guest booking end to end, for the founder and for clients from day one: finding the right shows, pitching hosts, running the matching platforms, handling the back-and-forth, scheduling, and keeping every detail organized after the booking is made. Over time, you turn what works into a documented service Avium can sell and scale.
You won't just send pitches. You'll help build how we do podcast booking at Avium.
What success looks like
By ~30 days
- You know the founder and clients well enough to pitch them accurately
- A target list of relevant podcasts exists for each person you're booking
- First outreach is going out and replies are coming back
- A simple tracker shows every pitch and its status
By ~90 days
- A documented booking workflow: research, targeting, outreach, follow-up, host call, scheduling, handoff
- Templates exist: pitch angles, follow-up sequences, booking tracker, guest one-sheet
- A steady flow of booked appearances across the founder and client accounts
By ~6 months
- The system is proven and ready to run as a productized service
- You're booking for multiple clients without things slipping through the cracks
- You're on track to own podcast delivery as we grow
What you will do
Book podcasts (founder + clients)
- Research and build target lists of shows that reach the right audience
- Vet each show: host, format, audience, past guests, fit
- Write personalized pitches that get replies
- Run the matching platforms (PodMatch and similar) day to day
- Talk to hosts and producers, answer questions, build relationships
- Schedule appearances and coordinate calendars
- After each booking, capture every detail: dates, links, prep, talking points, logistics
Build the booking operating system
- Document a repeatable workflow we can run for any client
- Create templates: pitch angles, follow-up sequences, tracker, guest one-sheet
- Turn what works into a productized SOP
What we're looking for
Must-have
- 2+ years in podcast booking, PR outreach, or guest booking (booking people onto shows, not running a show)
- Proof: examples of placements you've landed or outreach you've run
- Strong copywriting in fluent English, able to write a pitch that doesn't sound like a template
- Organized to a fault: you can juggle many people, many shows, and many stages without dropping anything
- High ownership, async-friendly, detail-oriented
Nice-to-have
- Experience booking speakers, authors, coaches, or executives
- Familiarity with PodMatch, podcast databases (Listen Notes, Rephonic, Podscan), and outreach tools
- Interest in personal branding and how podcasts feed authority and sales
Tools
PodMatch and similar matching platforms, podcast databases, Notion, Slack, Loom, Gmail, plus a scheduling tool.
Working style
Async-first (Loom, Slack, Notion). Weekly planning call. High ownership: you keep things moving without being chased.
Hours and growth path
- Start: 5-10 hrs/week, contractor
- As booking volume grows across clients: expand hours
- Later: own podcast delivery as we productize the service
Hiring process
- Apply via the form. Read carefully, details matter. We reply within 14 days.
- Intro call with the founder.
- Practical task: a short target list and sample pitch for a real profile, with a Loom walkthrough.
- Final conversation on fit and next steps.
