Jobs Fullstack

B2B, remote, long-term cooperation.

About the Role

The company is developing a consumer commerce platform that combines real-time 3D interactions with the purchase of physical products, including a real-money wallet and operational workflows. The technology stack is built entirely around TypeScript. The engineering team is small and experienced, working closely with the CTO. This role is for a highly experienced individual contributor to take technical ownership of backend architecture across a customer-facing web product, an internal operations platform, and supporting services. A key part of the role involves systems where correctness and reliability have direct financial impact, such as wallet and ledger functionality, transaction settlement, verifiable outcome generation, and fulfillment workflows. The platform uses an event-driven architecture within a TypeScript monorepo, including Fastify BFF services, asynchronous workers, shared domain components backed by PostgreSQL, MongoDB for analytics, Valkey for caching, RabbitMQ for messaging, and S3-compatible storage with CDN. Infrastructure runs on AWS ECS with infrastructure-as-code and automated CI/CD. You will work closely with the CTO on architectural direction and platform evolution.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of architectural decisions across backend services, including service boundaries, data ownership, idempotency, outbox patterns, caching, and failure handling.
• Document important technical decisions and revisit them as requirements and system constraints evolve.
• Design and evolve financially sensitive functionality, including double-entry wallet accounting, payments and withdrawals, inventory settlement, and auditable outcome-generation mechanisms.
• Work across layers when necessary, from database schemas and Drizzle migrations through domain logic, Fastify APIs, asynchronous consumers, and React interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership for the internal operations platform supporting catalog, fulfillment, finance, and customer-support workflows.
• Establish engineering standards around contract-first APIs, deterministic testing, database migrations, and code-review quality.
• Mentor other engineers while maintaining a hands-on individual-contributor role.
• Own production reliability through observability, incident response, capacity planning, performance analysis, and ongoing reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 8–9+ years of professional software engineering experience, including several years with direct responsibility for architecture and technical decisions in production systems.
• Proven experience defining service boundaries, selecting appropriate storage technologies, and scaling production systems.
• Practical understanding of capacity planning, caching strategies, database connection management, performance bottlenecks, and production debugging.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs such as consistency vs. availability, synchronous vs. asynchronous communication, caching vs. source-of-truth access, and build vs. buy decisions.
• Strong server-side engineering background with Node.js/TypeScript, .NET, or Java. Engineers coming from .NET or Java should be comfortable transitioning to TypeScript.
• Deep experience with relational databases, including schema design, transactions and isolation levels, indexing, and migrations of live production systems.
• Experience using document databases and caching systems where they provide clear advantages alongside relational storage.
• Production experience with event-driven architectures, message brokers, idempotent processing, outbox patterns, and delivery guarantees.
• Experience owning financially sensitive systems such as payments, billing, ledgers, trading, or similar transaction-heavy functionality.
• Ability to document architectural decisions clearly and challenge technical assumptions when necessary.

About the Company

Read this first!!!!

This is a founding engineer role at an early-stage, funded startup growing ~50% month on month. It is not a 9-to-5. Expect long hours, occasional weekends, and real pressure to ship on client deadlines. In exchange you get ownership, outsized upside, and the chance to shape a company from the ground floor.

We're being blunt about the intensity on purpose. If you want predictable hours and firm boundaries, this isn't the role, and that's fine. If you're the kind of engineer who gets energised by shipping fast, owning outcomes, and building something that matters, keep reading.

What you'll do

• Own our technical stack end-to-end: infrastructure, CI/CD, backend APIs, and front-end delivery.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (Python, DuckDB/MotherDuck, BigQuery, Postgres).
• Design robust CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar) for rapid iteration.
• Set up and manage core infrastructure (GCP or AWS): monitoring, logging, autoscaling, and security.
• Build customer-facing features in TypeScript/React/Next.js with a strong focus on performance.
• Work directly with the founders to define the roadmap, prioritise features, and make the technical calls that shape the company.

• Contribute to hiring, technical standards, and engineering culture as we grow.

What you bring

• Deep experience with infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Strong skills in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and SQL.
• Comfort working with large datasets and optimising query performance.
• Ability to architect systems from scratch, not just maintain them.
• Startup mentality: proactive, resourceful, thrives in ambiguity.
• Genuinely up for the hours and intensity of an early-stage startup, including crunch periods around launches and client deadlines.

• Bonus: experience with data products, open data, or analytics tooling.

Requirements

• Data Warehouse — 2-3 years
• CI/CD — 2-3 years
• Infrastructure — 2-3 years

• English — C1 Advanced

What we offer

• A funded startup growing ~50% month on month, in a large, underserved market.
• Ground-floor role defining the product, stack, and engineering culture.
• Direct collaboration with the founders, with real customer conversations and fast feedback loops.
• High responsibility, high pace, high learning, and outsized reward if we win.
• A clear path to progression. As we grow, so does your scope, seniority, and reward.
• Broad exposure across the business, with the room to genuinely work like a founder.

Who we are

We build APIs and tools for businesses working with creators. We're profitable, growing 30% month over month, and our founders have sold three businesses for seven figures or more.

We're expanding into a single API for multiple creator and social platforms. Customers should be able to integrate once and get consistent responses, webhooks and SDKs.

The work

Some platforms have undocumented APIs, bot detection and changes that arrive without notice. We need someone who can understand how those integrations work and keep them reliable when the platform, traffic or data changes.

We're hiring a senior full-stack engineer to keep production reliable and customer data correct. You'll plan for a workload of 50 million jobs a day, including bursts, slow upstream services and retries. You'll also build integrations and customer-facing features in Laravel 13, Inertia and React.

What you'll do

• Investigate production problems using logs, metrics and the actual request and job flow. Identify who is affected, contain the problem and verify the fix.
• Keep queues and webhook delivery reliable. Handle retries, duplicate events, rate limits and worker failures without losing data or letting one account hold up everyone else.
• Reverse engineer undocumented APIs and maintain integrations for authentication, posting, messaging, media and analytics.
• Make different platforms work through a consistent API. Keep documentation, SDKs and MCP tools aligned with the behaviour customers receive.
• Build useful dashboards and internal tools in Laravel 13, Inertia and React. Make the data accurate and the interface clear.
• Improve database queries, worker capacity and scheduling based on measurements. Add tests for the failures we cannot afford to repeat.
• Protect our APIs against abuse and check integrations when upstream behaviour changes.
• Challenge a decision when you think we're solving the wrong problem. Explain the alternative and its tradeoffs.
• Production incidents and incorrect customer data take priority. We agree with the team which integration and product work comes next.

What we need from you

• You've shipped and maintained Laravel applications with real users, and you're comfortable building in React. Inertia experience helps, but is not required.
• You have operated queue or worker systems in production at substantial volume. You understand concurrency, retries, duplicate execution, backpressure and how databases and external services limit throughput.
• You can describe a production incident you personally investigated, the evidence that led to the cause and how you proved the fix worked. Explain the workload you owned in concrete numbers.
• You have reverse engineered an API, web client or similar integration. You can reason about HTTP headers, cookies, request signing, TLS fingerprints and rate limits.
• You check that data means what the product says it means. Missing information, failed requests and legitimate zero values need different handling.
• You use AI regularly and can show how it improves your work. You verify its output and understand the code you ship.
• You investigate problems independently, keep the team informed and raise blockers early. You know when to involve someone else in a decision.
• You don't need to have handled exactly 50 million jobs a day. Tell us what you have operated, how it failed and how you measured its limits.

Nice to have

Proxy infrastructure, published SDKs, OpenAPI, MCP tools, security testing, PostHog or experience with creator platforms. Public code is welcome; confidential commercial work also counts if you can explain your contribution.

How we work

We're a small team. We work asynchronously and review progress weekly. Keep the team informed about decisions, blockers and incidents. We care about work reaching customers and continuing to work after release.

We will discuss working-hour overlap, incident coverage, response expectations and any on-call arrangement before an offer.

Remote, with a Prague office available. Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland or UK preferred.

How we hire

A paid debugging exercise, a 30-minute technical walkthrough, then a decision. We agree a fixed fee before you start, and payment does not depend on the hiring decision. You have six-seven 🤷‍♂️ hours, including setup. The process usually takes under two weeks. You can use AI throughout; we'll ask you to explain your code and decisions.

Apply

Briefly describe a production problem you investigated, how you found and verified the fix, and the traffic or job volume involved. Tell us how you use AI and give an example of something you caught it getting wrong. A concrete example gives us more to talk about than a cover letter.

A growing part of our pipeline isn't websites — it's products. Clients come to us with a working prototype (often AI-generated), a locked UX and a launch date, and need someone to take it to production: web apps, mobile apps, multi-tenant platforms, admin panels, AI-assisted features.

You'll be the engineering counterpart to our design team on these projects — scoping, architecting, building and shipping.

What you'll do

• Take products from prototype/MVP to production: two-sided platforms, patient and provider portals, marketplaces, membership platforms
• Build backends: REST/GraphQL APIs, auth and roles, multi-tenancy, payments and subscriptions, file and document storage, notifications
• Build admin and CRM panels: user management, analytics, GDPR data deletion, crash reporting, invoicing
• Integrate third-party systems: hardware and device APIs and webhooks, payment providers, CRMs, analytics warehouses (Snowflake, Tableau)
• Build AI features into products: LLM APIs, assistants scoped to product data, orchestration, guardrails
• Debug and harden inherited codebases — several clients arrive with API and webhook bugs from previous contractors or vibe-coded prototypes
• Ship cross-platform mobile apps and handle App Store and Google Play submission

• Scope work and produce hours-based estimates with a breakdown by phase and risk

Must-have

• 5+ years full-stack, with production ownership rather than just feature work
• Backend: Node.js/TypeScript or Python — APIs, auth, background jobs, webhooks
• Frontend: React (Next.js a plus)
• Databases: relational schema design, PostgreSQL or similar. Supabase or Firebase welcome
• Payments and subscriptions in production (Stripe or equivalent)
• Deployment and infra basics: CI/CD, environments, monitoring, logging
• At least one product taken from zero to live users
• AI as a core part of your toolkit — in two directions. First, how you build: Claude Code (or equivalent agentic tooling) for scaffolding services, refactoring, test generation, and rapidly assembling working prototypes to pressure-test an architecture before committing to it. Second, what you build: hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into a product — prompt design, structured output, tool use, evaluation, cost and latency control. You should also be able to audit an AI-generated codebase and honestly assess what's salvageable, since a growing share of our clients arrive with exactly that.
• English B2 or higher — you'll present the technical approach on client calls

• Ability to break a brief into a phased estimate with hours and risks

Nice to have

• Cross-platform mobile: React Native or Flutter, plus store submission experience
• Compliance-adjacent work: HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2 prep — we have healthtech and fintech leads
• Real-time features: WebSockets, LiveKit, streaming
• Data and analytics integrations: Snowflake, Tableau, event pipelines

• Web3: smart contract integration, wallet auth

Soft requirements

• You give honest estimates and flag when a client's budget doesn't match the scope — plenty of our leads arrive with a 250-hour budget for a 500-hour product
• Comfortable talking to non-technical founders and translating business logic into architecture

• You can run technical discovery: ask the right questions, produce a scoped plan
