Role Description

We're looking for a freelance full-stack developer with a strong backend focus. You'll ship new features, solve real problems, and help shape the technical foundations of a product that's growing.

Today, one the founder handles the product and works with one technical lead. You'd be the second person on the tech side, a structuring role with real impact and direct input on key decisions.

You'll have full ownership of your work, from idea to production. That means making technical decisions yourself, validating your own features, and shipping with confidence. You won't be alone, you'll work closely with the technical lead and get support on architecture and complex decisions. But you'll still own your deliverables.

You will:

• Ship product features end-to-end
• Debug and resolve production issues (performance bottlenecks, race conditions, data inconsistencies)
• Own our third-party integrations
• Own background jobs & webhooks reliability (Inngest, retries, idempotency)
• Optimize PostgreSQL & ClickHouse queries for high-volume data (billions of rows)

Team & Working Environment

You'll join a very small team with few formal processes and a product that's still early-stage. This means strong autonomy and individual responsibility. You'll own problems end-to-end, make technical trade-offs on your own, and validate your work before shipping.

Day-to-day, you'll be working on a product that's already in production, used by real clients. That means debugging real incidents, making technical trade-offs without detailed specs, and iterating fast: ship, observe, improve. We have two daily syncs, one in the morning to align, one at end of day to review progress

EverHelp is building a product portfolio from scratch: Evly (AI customer service), analytics, a voice agent, and Zendesk Migration. We’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer (Agentic Systems) to own end-to-end product development — from the client-facing web layer to backend business logic, including agentic engineering, highload system design, and shipping AI features against real business and product requirements. This is an engineer who turns a product idea into a working, scalable feature by closing the whole stack independently, not just one layer of it.

Your future responsibilities include:

• End-to-end feature development: frontend, backend business logic, APIs, and integrations — owning the full stack independently
• System design for highload systems: scalability, queues, caching, and resilience under load
• Agentic engineering: AI agents, Copilot-style flows, and LLM orchestration (tool/function calling, prompt engineering, memory, fallback logic)
• RAG systems: embeddings, vector search, and building/optimizing retrieval pipelines
• Working with pre-deployed self-hosted models and integrating LLMs into the product
• AI security: data protection, prompt injection defense, access control, handling sensitive data
• LLM evaluation & optimization: quality metrics, observability (logging, tracing, latency/cost), and reducing costs without sacrificing quality
• Data work: database modeling, SQL and MongoDB (document/NoSQL structures), and preparing data for analytics and AI flows
• Independently deploying features on top of existing infrastructure (via pre-built Helm chart templates)
• Code review, test coverage, and maintaining the technical health of the codebase
• Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation: architecture, API contracts, AI flows
• Clarifying requirements, estimating and decomposing tasks, and raising technical risks early (in collaboration with design)

Needed experience & skills:

Frontend

Backend

You'd be our first dedicated engineer, working directly with a technical founder (product) and an experienced CTO (architecture + code review) — with a real path to Tech Lead as the team grows. You won't be flying solo, and you'll help shape the architecture, not just maintain it.

About the role

ClassOwl is a school-management system used by educational institutions. We are hiring a Middle+/Senior PHP Full-Stack Developer to join the team and work on our existing product.

The application is built on a custom PHP framework. Most tasks involve extending and improving the current application: adding product functionality, changing web interfaces, maintaining APIs and integrations, and investigating issues reported from staging or production.

The developer will work across backend and frontend parts of a feature. It is important to understand an existing codebase, make changes carefully, and consider how they affect different school installations. We expect the person to take part in a feature from clarification and estimation to implementation and code review.
