We are a small and fast-growing engineering team, and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will own the whole cloud infrastructure and shape the technical direction of the platform.

What you will build

• Build our entire AWS cloud infrastructure from scratch following automation-first, HA, and security-by-design principles;
• Design and operate Kubernetes environments; create and maintain custom Helm charts;
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using modular Terraform structures;
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps delivery workflows;
• Build secure networking architecture: VPC, VPN, WAF, firewalls, ingress controllers;

• Develops and maintains a tool set and a framework for building customer product. These include a
variety of Linux systems, including Embedded Systems, Data Center Servers and Containerized
solutions. This framework builds Debian packages and Docker images, and assembes a deliverable
product.
• Maintains on-premise Debian servers, Cloud and VMs for running this framework. The build system
consists of an array of Python, Perl and Bash modules, and uses REST API servers and clients, and
some Jenkins automation.

Your tasks:

• Design and develop platform-level solutions using Go and Python
• Drive and evolve observability practices across systems (logs, metrics, tracing)
• Investigate and resolve issues in distributed production environments
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and telemetry infrastructure
• Implement proactive performance and saturation metrics using PromQL, SQL, and Lucene
• Work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and CloudFormation
• Automate CI/CD and operational workflows using GitLab, Jenkins, Bash, Python, and AWS services
• Lead and coordinate cross-team technical initiatives
• Create scalable solutions without fully predefined requirements, taking ownership of design decisions

Required experience and skills:

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Strong programming background with at least two languages (Go, Python, Java, C, or JavaScript)
• Solid understanding of observability concepts and modern monitoring approaches
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including networking and architecture
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and production troubleshooting
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and tools like Grafana
• Experience working with Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and VictoriaMetrics
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Test Driven Development practices
• Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making mindset
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Upper-intermediate or higher English (C1)

Would be a plus:

• Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD
• Background in building internal platforms or developer tooling
• Experience in high-scale or performance-critical environments
• Strong system design and architectural skills
• Proven ability to simplify complex problems and deliver practical solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and security
• Design, build, and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes for deploying and orchestrating microservices
• Collaborate with software development teams to streamline the CI/CD pipeline and implement automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
• Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible to ensure consistent and efficient deployment across environments
• Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks, taking proactive measures to optimize and improve overall system reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and deployments in a timely manner
• Participate in the on-call rotation with the DevOps team, responding to alerts and incidents outside of regular business hours

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices related to DevOps, cloud computing, and containerization
   

  REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Resilient and flexible mindset, open to changing priorities and adapting to new challenges and technologies as the business evolves
• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, and experience managing containerized environments
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform to provision cloud resources.
  Strong knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Ansible
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and their integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure the health and performance of systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
