Eastern Peak is scaling its presence in the US market across AI, modernization, and custom software development. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to own the build-out of our US sales pipeline from first outreach to qualified opportunity handoff.

This role has a clear growth path: starting with outbound sales and lead qualification, you'll gradually take on more ownership of the full sales cycle, including negotiation and closing.

About the role

You'll own the front end of our US sales pipeline — from outbound prospecting to qualifying opportunities and, over time, growing into closing deals. You'll work closely with our VP of Sales (Europe), our outbound research team, and a Presales Solution Architect, partnering on everything from first conversations to commercial proposals.

This is a full-time, remote-first role based in the NY, Boston, DC, or Atlanta area, with regular travel for conferences, industry events, and in-person client meetings.

What you'll do

- Build and develop the US sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, events, partnerships, and warm introductions

- Run outbound outreach based on prepared lead and account lists, using LinkedIn, email, calls, and follow-ups

- Coordinate the outbound sales team: set priorities, review lead quality, provide feedback, and ensure focus on the right ICPs and accounts

- Lead or support first sales conversations with prospects, understand their business needs, and qualify fit, budget, timing, and next steps

- Represent Eastern Peak at US industry conferences and events: engage with prospects on the floor, build new connections, and position the company as a go-to partner — combined with pre-event outreach to target accounts and structured follow-up after each event to convert contacts into pipeline.

- Maintain CRM discipline: update deal stages, notes, follow-ups, and lead context

- Work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and presales/technical experts to move qualified opportunities forward

- Support marketing and offering ideas based on market feedback - campaign angles, verticals, messaging, and service offering opportunities

- Coordinate and prepare commercial proposals together with presales, technical, and delivery teams

- Gradually grow into owning more of the sales cycle, including negotiation and closing deals

Requirements:

- Experience in tech sales, ideally software development services, IT services, digital products, AI, or tech consulting

- Experience working with the US market and communicating with US-based decision-makers

Strong outbound sales skills: prospecting, qualification, objection handling

- Experience working with a CRM and discipline around pipeline/stage management

About the role
You would join the platform team as its dedicated backend engineer, working directly with the core engineering team. About the role

Our client is private equity investor backing growth-stage software companies. Their portfolio companies have strong product-market fit but, being young, lack consistent commercial KPI definitions — so there is no clear, comparable view of performance. This hands-on interim role brings standardized, board-grade commercial reporting into these companies one at a time, starting with ARR and "snowball" analytics, until the reporting is built, trusted, and handed over.

What you'll do

• One company at a time. Embed with a portfolio company and take it through the data maturity curve; each company is a discrete project, worked back-to-back with the next.
• Build the numbers. Create unified commercial reporting from the ground up, starting with ARR and snowball analysis (New, Upsell, Downsell, Churn) to give leadership an accurate view of performance.
• Find the truth. Work out who to ask and where the data lives; partner directly with the CFO or C-1 level and the company's data team where one exists.

• Solid experience with SQLAlchemy 2.0 (async), PostgreSQL (asyncpg), and Alembic migrations
• Experience building real-time features with Socket.IO (or equivalent WebSocket frameworks) - rooms, namespaces, auth, scaling across workers
• Experience with Redis and distributed task queues (Celery, or arq/dramatiq)
• Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and data isolation patterns
• Experience with JWT-based auth and role/permission-based access control (RBAC/ABAC)
• Discipline around clean layering - clear separation between routes, services, and repositories (no SQL in the service layer)
• Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, Secrets Manager, IAM), Docker (multi-stage builds), and Bash
• Experience designing and operating microservices (service boundaries, inter-service communication via internal SDKs, observability)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (AWS provider, module composition)
• Strong experience writing unit and integration tests (pytest, pytest-asyncio)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend microservices using Python, FastAPI, and async SQLAlchemy
• Design efficient database schemas, write performant queries, and manage schema evolution via Alembic
• Build and maintain real-time features via Socket.IO - event flows, room/namespace design, and reliable delivery under load
• Implement asynchronous workflows using Redis and Celery where appropriate
• Contribute to the microservices architecture - propose improvements for scalability, reliability, and clear service boundaries; consume and evolve internal SDKs for inter-service communication
• Work within a multi-tenant environment - build features that respect tenant isolation and scale across tenants
• Provision and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS via Terraform (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, ALB, IAM), following IaC best practices
• Lead by example through code reviews, mentorship, and adherence to engineering standards (clean layering, tested code, meaningful abstractions)
• Collaborate with team members to align technical implementation with business goals
• Deploy and operate services using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and provide accurate estimations
• Take initiative to identify improvements, propose technical solutions, and contribute ideas that enhance product quality, performance, and security posture
