About the Project

• Our client is the trusted global leader in prevention-first Anti-Ransomware protection, redefining cybersecurity with our industry-leading Automated Moving Target Defense (AMTD) technology.

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Internals Engineer with a strong background in low-level programming and a deep understanding of Windows internals to join the team.

   

Required skills:

• More than 6 years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C++.
• Experience with Windows API, and multithreading.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for security.
• Experience working on large-scale, high-performance systems with complex requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration.
• Using Common LLM tools to improve day-to-day throughput (e.g. Claude code).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and the threat landscape.
• Extensive understanding of LLM tools (e.g. agents, skills, etc.).
• Familiarity with security concepts such as buffer overflows, race conditions, code injection, and privilege escalation.
• Deep understanding of Windows OS internals.
• Modern C++.
• Experience with Windows drivers, file systems, or network protocols.
• Knowledge of reverse engineering, malware analysis, or exploit development.

• .NET/C# experience.

   

Scope of work:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end security modules in C/C++ that power endpoint protection.
• Work with low-level Windows internals, including kernel mode and user mode development.
• Lead the development of innovative security solutions that address complex real-world threats.
• Investigate and resolve advanced security-related issues and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the product and research teams.
• Stay up to date with emerging threats and vulnerability trends to enhance defense mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality engineering practices across the team.

• We are looking for an experienced C++ / backend engineer to join on a short-term, time-bound basis to lead refactoring and modernization work on a mature desktop application. The product has a large, cross-platform C++ codebase (~500k lines of code plus third-party dependencies) built on Qt5. The primary goal of the engagement is to modernize the build toolchain and dependency stack, with the migration to Apple Silicon as the top priority.
  
  Not all of the tasks below are guaranteed to be completed within the engagement. At a minimum, the Intel → Apple Silicon migration must be delivered; remaining items will be prioritized based on time and progress.
   

• Responsibilities:

  Migrate the macOS build of the application from an Intel to an Apple Silicon build (C++ codebase, ~500k LOC plus third-party libraries, Qt5).
  Migrate third-party libraries from Conan 1.x to Conan 2 across the Windows, macOS, and Linux builds.
  Update the Linux build to use Clang 19 (from Clang 11) and move the build to Ubuntu 24.04.
  Update selected third-party libraries to recent versions to meet security requirements.
  Migrate the codebase from C++17 to C++20.
   

• Mandatory Skills Description:

  Proficiency in modern C++ (17/20) and cross-platform development across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  Strong experience with CMake and build-system toolchain configuration.
  Hands-on knowledge of the Conan package manager.
  Familiarity with the Clang / LLVM toolchain.
  Experience with Qt5 application development and macOS packaging / code signing.
  Comfortable working with Docker-based CI/CD pipelines and large legacy codebases.

About the Role
Optimizing data infrastructure at scale lies in providing breakthrough data processing acceleration to the bottomline that drives up costs: the software deployed at scale by data engineering teams.
As a Senior Software Engineer for this role, you will collaborate with the founding team in the implementation of a next-generation accelerator for Apache Spark, the most widely used Big Data processing engine at petabyte-scale.
Working at the intersection of compilers and Big Data analytics, you’ll drive state-of-the-art implementation of algorithms and techniques that span across the entire software stack, from SQL pushdown to enhancements in low-level C++ data processing APIs and beyond.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on commercial software development experience
• 3+ years of strong Scala experience
• experience with Java
• 2+ years of solid C++ experience
• Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English with confidence in active communication (meetings, discussions)
   

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of SQL acceleration features — from architecture and design to implementation and measurable performance gains
• Design, build, and optimize Big Data processing algorithms using Scala, Java, and C++
• Develop high-performance, low-latency components at the intersection of Big Data and compiler technologies
• Work with custom DSLs and code generation frameworks to extend and enhance query execution capabilities
• Contribute to cross-language integrations (Java ↔ C++ via JNI) and drive system-wide performance improvements
