We're looking for a Middle+ Data/Databricks Engineer to join our data team and take ownership of pipelines built on Databricks. You'll design and run production-grade ETL/ELT workloads, work with the lakehouse (Delta Lake) architecture, and partner closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders who rely on the data you deliver. What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and SQL.
• Implement and evolve Delta Lake tables following a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architecture.
• Develop batch and, where needed, streaming data processing jobs (Structured Streaming).
• Build and maintain CI/CD for Databricks notebooks and jobs (Databricks Asset Bundles, Repos, Git-based workflows).
• Orchestrate pipelines with Databricks Workflows, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Monitor job performance and cluster costs; troubleshoot failures and optimize for reliability and spend.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Spark, ideally on Databricks specifically.
• Strong PySpark and SQL skills, including performance tuning of Spark jobs.
• Practical experience with Delta Lake and lakehouse architecture concepts.
• Solid grasp of data modeling (dimensional modeling, star schema) and ETL/ELT design patterns.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform — Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure Databricks is a plus).

Our team builds with AI assistance and moves fast. Someone has to be the person who checks the work before it reaches the people who depend on us. That is the heart of this role. If your instinct when handed a large branch that passes its tests is "looks good, merge it," this is not your job.
 

Who we are

Psychable is a US company. We run a directory, marketplace, and education hub in the health and wellness space, connecting individuals with vetted practitioners.
 

We recently rebuilt our platform from WordPress into a modern Next.js and MongoDB application. The codebase is in genuinely good shape: a layered architecture with dependency rules enforced automatically by tooling, roughly 7,500 tests, and a written decision record behind every significant choice. We are proud of it and we intend to keep it that way.
 

The shape of the work

This is a part-time, ongoing contract. 10 to 20 hours per week to start, with room to grow. You need a few hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time.  
 

What you will own

The review gate. Review work before it ships. Catch what tests do not: missing indexes, race conditions, authorization gaps, dead code, events that silently record nothing. Say no when the answer is no, and explain why in a way a non-technical teammate can act on.
 

The live platform. Keep it running, fast, and secure. Own the deploys and the release process.

The architecture. Strict layering, enforced by tooling, currently at zero violations. Your job is to keep that number where it is.

Security. Authentication, sessions, access control, secrets, and dependencies. We treat this as non-negotiable and so should you.

Performance. Measured, not guessed. We want someone who reads a query plan before changing a query.

Our booking marketplace. The biggest project ahead: an individual books and pays for a consult with a practitioner, and the practitioner gets paid. Onboarding, availability, scheduling, payments, payouts, and disputes. Money movement, built carefully and tested to a higher standard than anything else we do.
 

A payment provider migration. Our subscription processor is changing. The code already isolates the provider behind an adapter, so this is scoped work, not an open-ended rewrite.
 

Our stack

Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, MongoDB Atlas, Render, Cloudflare R2, Brevo, Google OAuth and Maps, Vitest.
 

You must have

Production Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Real applications, not tutorials.
 

Real MongoDB depth. You can read an execution plan. You know why a case-insensitive regex cannot use an index, and what a partial index will and will not match.
 

Code review experience. You have reviewed other people's work and caught real problems. You can tell us about a time you blocked something from shipping and why you were right.

Security fundamentals you actually apply: password hashing, session management and revocation, authorization enforced at every layer rather than just in the UI, protecting against account enumeration, and keeping secrets out of the codebase.

Fluency with AI-assisted development, and healthy skepticism of it. We use these tools daily. You should be faster with them and suspicious of their output. Both halves matter.
 

Respect for an architecture you did not design. You work within the pattern that exists and improve it deliberately, rather than rewriting it to your preference.
 

Testing discipline. You write tests that would actually fail if the code broke.
 

Clear, proactive written communication. You report progress and flag problems early without being chased. Most of our team is not technical, so you can explain a risk in plain language.
 

Nice to have

Payments work: subscriptions, marketplace splits, payouts, disputes, chargeback evidence.
 

Experience inheriting and stabilizing a codebase someone else built.

Role overview

Amplify is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to own our go-to-market and acquisition end to end. This is a hands-on role for someone who owns the strategy and lives in the ad accounts – positioning, channels, and the numbers.

You'll work directly with the leadership team to shape how Amplify wins against the rest of the Shopify ecosystem. On a small team, you'll own marketing end to end – this is for someone who wants that accountability and the autonomy that comes with it. As we grow, there's room to build and lead a team.

Key responsibilities

• Own Amplify's go-to-market strategy – positioning, messaging, and how we win merchants
• Plan, build, and optimize paid acquisition across Google, Meta, Shopify App Store – you name it
• Own the growth funnel end to end: acquisition, activation, and the metrics that matter (CAC, ROAS, etc)

• 5+ years in growth or performance marketing, with real ownership of acquisition and GTM
• A track record of driving measurable growth – you can point to numbers you moved
• Hands-on expertise running paid acquisition (Google, Meta, and similar channels)
• Strong grasp of positioning and messaging
• Comfortable owning metrics and making decisions from data
• Self-directed and accountable: you thrive owning outcomes on a small team
• Experience marketing to Shopify merchants, DTC brands, or the e-commerce ecosystem is a strong plus
• Experience with B2B SaaS or direct-sales go-to-market is a plus

About the Project
Our client operates community and specialty hospitals, a managed care organization, a physician network, community health centers, and home care and other health-related entities in the United States. The Research Portal — one of the internal products — is a web-based application with over 10,000 current users developed for the entire research community to review, monitor, and manage research portfolio. The main goal is to unite distributed and complex organizational processes into one application and help alleviate administrative burdens. 
 

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in data warehouse development.
