Java developer (back end) (offline)

The Java Engineer role will be focusing on building software using the micro-service architecture using Java with Spring Boot. These services will be deployed through use of automation and are typically deployed in a Docker container. This person will be working in an extremely collaborative and fast-paced environment helping to develop the backend to support the business and customer needs.

Responsibilities :
- Work in a fast-paced agile driven extreme programming environment with focus on test driven development and CI/CD
- Provide technical/architectural solutions to the team for solving complex business problems
- Translate features/stories into web services and independent components supporting various applications
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Guide and mentor junior developers on various tasks
- Maintain and support existing systems and services

A successful Java Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or similar fields will be a plus.
- 4+ years experience in Java.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot is required.
- A passion for innovation and solving complex technical problems.
- Strong experience in junit, spring test, and the automation using CI.
- Experience with React, Redux, JavaScript, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Gitlab, Gitlab CI. Experience working in a Docker Rancher environment is a plus.
- Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM/XP methodologies.
- Strong experience with large REST-ful microservice architectures.
- Good understanding of micro services and API gateway patterns.
- Experience with both NoSql and Relational databases.
- Strong desire to learn with a "can do" attitude".
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
