As a Senior Software Engineer on the Application Engineering team, you'll be involved in all stages of the product development lifecycle from ideation, design, planning, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration. In addition to time spent coding, your domain expertise is often required to mentor other software engineers, and guide tech stack decisions to ensure that the applications function well in their current environment and at scale. This role reports to the Head of Engineering.

What you will do:
- Design, implement, and iterate applications using React/React Native/NodeJS
- Communicate well and be an active participant in agile ceremonies
- Write great tests and ensure high-quality code is being shipped
- Perform code reviews and contribute to coding standards
- Help improve our tools and processes
- Mentor other engineers on both coding skills and professionalism
- Participate in the interviewing process as we scale our team

- Has prior startup experience and an entrepreneurial mindset including a willingness to pitch in to help get things done

Your skills include:
At least 5 years of professional software development experience
A fluency with modern software development practices including agile, code reviews, Git workflow, unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment
At least 3 years of experience with Javascript and Node.js
At least 2 years of experience with ReactJS and/or ReactNative
Comfort with structuring projects, refactoring code, and designing APIs
The ability to write good SQL and design efficient databases
Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium
Good application security practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10)
