PHP Software Engineer (Berlin) (offline)

As a PHP / Backend Developer you will be part of our growing development team building new features that matter to our customers. From day one you have the chance to be part of a dynamic team that builds our marketplace and SaaS platform for thousands of users.

Your responsibilities will be:
- Planning and implementing of features powered by clean and tested code
- Optimize an existing system by refactoring existing components and adding new features according to technical and business requirements
- Further developing our marketplace and SaaS platform based on PHP Symfony, MySQL, AWS, Docker, Ansible, VueJS
- Shaping our agile development environment in which we build an awesome product in close cooperation with business stakeholders and supporting short release cycles and a test driven atmosphere

What you should bring along:
- You’re self-organized and result-oriented person
- You know what good software means, you understand when refactoring is needed, when not and what level of refactoring should be applied to a certain module
- You have strong experience in programming and software development of web solutions, preferably SaaS software
- You’re good with PHP and have experience with PHP-based frameworks (SF, Laravel)
- Have an understanding of API-based systems, Authentication, Authorization
- You're familiar with multi-layered software architecture that empowers scalable and reliable software products
- You’re familiar with different RDBMs (MySQL in particular)
- You have experience in managing applications on AWS
- Strong knowledge and experience in testing (unit, integration)
- You have a passion for professional software development with clean data structures, software patterns, test-driven development, clean code, continuous integration
- DevOps (CI/CD, AWS) experience is a plus
- NoSQL storages (ElasticSearch, Redis) is a plus
- Knowledge about message brokers (RabbitMQ) is a plus
- Additional programming language (Python, Java, Go) is a plus
- Frontend skills (VueJS, JQuery) is a plus
- You’re fluent in English, German is a plus
