Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be highly motivated and self-driven to deliver high quality services, and continuously improve and drive deliverables. In addition, you will play a key technical leadership role within a unified development team within an Agile environment.

You will work from SMTP.com office in Kyiv and communicate with PM and QA teams to demonstrate progress, set expectations and ensure success. You will play a significant role in the development of code, fixing bugs and otherwise setting an example for other developers both in the quality and quantity of your sprint contributions.

Job Duties:

• Develop and participate in the development of code as part of a unified development group, working the entire technological stack between platform and UI concerns
• Perform requirement analysis
• Develop design options and recommendations to address requirements not only from a functional perspective, but also from a scalability, performance and reliability perspective required of a SaaS service
• Based on chosen solution, work with the development team to provide estimates and plans to deliver
• Work with a cross functional team in the implementation and delivery of new functionality and corrective content
• Engage in story planning, negotiating between PM, DEV and QA to derive appropriate stories based on fair compromises between original specifications, technical design, and testing possibilities
• Participate in Agile development processes and sprint ceremonies

Job Requirements and Experience:

• Excellent written and conversational English skills required
• Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years development experience with .Net core, .Net Framework and C#
• 5+ years of experience in developing web applications in a distributed environment
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
• Experience with SQL Server
• Demonstrated track record of leading development teams through the delivery of marquee product features
• Experience with SOAP/REST web services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Keeps up to date on new technologies and methodologies, but is pragmatic in their application
• Experience with cloud technologies and architectures for scalability and performance
• Experience with deployment and test automation
