Job Description:

Instructional Designer (remote)
We are looking for an Instructional Designer to be part of our Content Development team. Strong design and content creation skills will be essential to support and grow our capacity and capability to build on-line learning and assessments on our state-of-the-art platform. The Content Development team works across our client base in a wide variety of topic areas, utilising both H5P interactive tools and webforms within our Drupal Virtual Learning Environment.

Working with the Head of Implementation the Instructional Designer will be responsible for the development, design and build of interactive learning modules for both Client projects and for the ProfilerLive platform. The Instructional Designer will be regarded as the ProfilerLive SME to support Client SME’s on best practice use of ProfilerLive and contribute to internal UI/UX discussions on functionality as the ‘clients voice’.

The best candidates will have a strong understanding of Instructional Design, within the medium of e-learning and HTML.

Working remotely as part of a virtual team; communication will be primarily by IM/Video Conference. A fluent English speaker, there may be requirements to represent the company during discussions with customers and external technical partners.

Background and Experience:
Experience in designing, developing, planning, implementing and assessing training
Demonstrated experience developing to current eLearning standards
Demonstrated experience developing eLearning courseware, performance support aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials, including gaming modules.
Excellent communication skills and editing for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including superior skill in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts and managers.
Experience in H5P as development e-Learning tool
Ability to design solutions that use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
Ability to create effective visual communication and video based learning materials.
At least 3 years of experience in L&D roles.
Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement and/or project management.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Partner with curriculum owners to scope program needs
Utilises best practice models to design, develop and publish engaging course content, learning activities and knowledge assessments.
Design and develop – instructor guides, participant materials, assessments, eLearning.
Revise, rewrite and review course content for accuracy.
Develop valid scenario-based test items to evaluate training efficacy
Adapt existing learning content to make it relevant for new target audiences
Create release notes and support guides to accompany the deployment of new ProfilerLive functionality
Maintain Platform related training content on the site
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Provide train the trainer sessions (virtual/remote) to support implementation of training programs.
